I’m in Oro Valley, but I was at a hotel in Glendale near Westgate when it was broken into.

Ordered one yesterday.

My theory is that the dealer took out a LoJack or something when I bought it, but left the wiring in there. I just never noticed it before.

Nothing is plugged into the extensions. I only use it if I need to plug in my JScan, but they might not have known that.

The wires are red and black with a 3 amp fuse in line wired. It was weird. They were very gentle with the Jeep. They even put the fuse box cover back on.

Pretty sure these guys knew exactly what they were doing. Knew which fuse to pull, likely used some sort of slim Jim, turned down the dash lights to keep it dark. I think the must have got spooked before they could steal the whole thing. Didn’t take anything except for the brains of the GMRS for...

I confirmed they pulled the horn fuse.

Someone broke into my Jeep last night. Rifled thru everything, but only took the brains of my GMRS and left the mic, which renders it useless. Anyhow, they unplugged the harnesses under the dash, presumably trying to steal the Jeep? Everything seems to work, except the dash and infotainment...

I've been eyeing the Cricket a bit. About what kind of gas mileage do you get with it? It looks pretty streamlined. My current trailer (about 3500 lbs loaded and a huge frontal area) gets 8-11 mpg depending on terrain, wind, etc.

I didn't have to trim the skid plate. It's been on there a few years now and I did replace the hardware with stainless steel. The original hardware rusted after a beach trip. It could also use a fresh coat of paint, but I haven't done that yet.

Was flipping thru some Oregon coast vacations photos from 2022 and I had forgot about this one I saw.

There's a guy in my town that has a pretty good YJ as well. To top it off, he's a bigger dude that even looks a bit like "Newman" (I can't remember his real name). I can just picture him peering over the steering wheel wiping his glasses off...

I have the glass add-on with my policy. If I remember correctly, it's about $50/year. Free replacement...thankfully since I'm on my 3rd windshield.

Hmmm...I think I like the squirrel as the matador better. :)
