The wires are red and black with a 3 amp fuse in line wired.

It was weird. They were very gentle with the Jeep. They even put the fuse box cover back on.
No clue as that is nothing factory.

My theory is that the dealer took out a LoJack or something when I bought it, but left the wiring in there. I just never noticed it before.
Yeah, that is probably it.

Well they can't get to the fuses if the hood is locked........and they can't snip the horn wiring harness if it's rerouted.

Food for thought.

And finally, the TAZR NoLimitz module makes the OBD2 port useless. Security in layers is priceless

Someone broke into my Jeep last night. Rifled thru everything, but only took the brains of my GMRS and left the mic, which renders it useless. Anyhow, they unplugged the harnesses under the dash, presumably trying to steal the Jeep? Everything seems to work, except the dash and infotainment screen turn off when I turn on the lights and the horn doesn’t work. Anyhow…does anyone know where the wires below plug into?

edit- dash lights work (they were completely turned down). Only horn doesn’t work.

Layer of protection is the key.
1. Reroute horn wires and horns so they can't be cut. If they look for the horns in the standard location they are not there.
2. Drone Mobile. can do many things. Mine is hard wired and will alert me for movement/towing/ its location/engine start and glass braking.
3. Ravelco.
4. Tazer with pin enabled and hood open enabled.
5. Viper simple alarm system. Movement/glass braking/doors open/hood or tail gate open.
All devices can be defeated put the chances of defeated all 5. Slim.

i know it won't help now but i installed a Bolt Hood Lock. it uses your fob key. unless you have a front camera.
Ditto! Easy under hood access not easy anymore, and no extra key! Highly recommend!

I’m in Oro Valley, but I was at a hotel in Glendale near Westgate when it was broken into.
Probably looking to see if the rumors were true about the Mojave ride.

I’ve never heard of the horn wire rerouting. Is there a thread with pics?
I just loosened the 10mm on the horns, rotated them so the wires are not accessible through the grille, then retightened. Takes 5 min. Hood locks are also a really easy, inexpensive layer of protection.

In my case a hood lock I think could be a bad idea.
If they want my jeep a pry bar is all they need damaging my jeep only to find out that my 5 layer of protection they now need to bypass.

I’ll look into that one.
I got one too after somebody unscrewed my coolant resevoir lid. It shot off as I was driving down the freeway. No damage done but dang it sucks dealing with something like that.
