I have the dual behind the rear seat.. Brackets are top notch and fit perfect! No heat issues but don't run more than 10 mins at a time airing up.. If your worried about heat leave the door open and the seat down..
I have done this swap.. Springs and shocks both.. The rear shocks are a direct swap. The front you will have to make your own sleeve for the bushings since the bolts on the Mojave are bigger.. Noticed a 1" height in front and a much better ride.. The springs are the same length but the rates are...
315x70x17 Ridge Grapplers on Fuel Beadlocks. 1.5" Spacers. Sitting on Mojave springs and shocks.
Barely rubs the inside of the mudflap at full turn.. I like it.. ;)
Rubi-Jave is finally done.. Thanks to some help from TXSmitty I made some sleeves to fit the smaller Rubi bolts.. Nice and snug! I have also been seeing posts that the reservoir would not fit due to the electronic disconnect which is not true.. I still had about 1/2 and inch clearance.. Took it...
The only difference I've noticed is the ride is softer than the Rubi springs.. The highway ride is great. If I hadn't found this great deal I would have just waited and got some Falcon.. From what I hear that's the money shot!
I did but don't have it with me.. The springs are the same height.. But the spring rate is different.. The Rubi's are tighter.
I did gain about 3/4" in the front
So I found a hell of a deal on some Mojave take offs.. Springs and shocks all for $450.
So I said what the hell.. let's try it!!
Springs and rear shocks are direct bolt on.. Rides like a dream!! Got an extra 3/4" lift on front.. Put the rears on and got my rake back! lol So may install my...
No bump stops unfortunately.. I plan on using the shocks on all four corners and using the front springs cause I do have a winch.. But keeping the rear springs for payload and towing.. Not sure how well it will work but I guess we'll see..
The mounts are different so I will have to get spacers...
Some kid in Houston was selling these.. I had work in Houston today so I came up and grabbed them.. 1500 miles on the set.
All in all about $3000 worth of parts for $450.. Couldn't pass that up. Going to try and put the shocks on my Rubi.. Any reason I shouldn't?
So just so there is no confusion.. I already own a Rubi.. That's what I wanted when I went to look for a new Jeep. I have owned 2 other Jeeps in the past. Last one was a Sport JKU with no mods other than 35's. Before that I had a TJ that I built from stock into a rock crawler, Long arm, 40's and...
I've been eyeballin the Falcons.. Watched reviews and such. Good to hear real world use and how they perform. Not doing any Baja races but would like to have a nicer ride thru desert areas and such.
So Falcon adjustables for street use and offroad use.. Beef up the knuckles, add hydro bumps and...
