As others stated, youāll be fine with 4.10s and 35s. Iāve been doing it for almost 2 years now (wow time flies), no issues. Iāve put about 25k miles on this setup.
Idk if anyone else mentioned it but if you tow heavy a lot, then maybe that will bother you. But hey, I still say try it out with...
Thank you! I was checking out your truck as well. Iām thinking maybe Iāll hold off on a bigger lift and just see how 37s fit with my current set up. Yours is sitting pretty nice!
Looks like youāve got some aftermarket wheels that probably help some with rubbing?
I also have the RC 2.5ā front springs but with the Icon 1-3/8ā rear spacers, all 8 control arms from Metalcloak, and both Metalcloak track bars.
At one point, I had just the front RC 2.5ā springs, RCās base level N3 shocks, Metalcloak front lower control arms, and Metalcloak front track bar. My...
Iām not too sure about the draft shaft. Iāve read multiple times on the forum that itās definitely recommended for lifts bigger than 2.5inches though. However, I believe itās mostly dependent on your shock travel since it will be the limiting factor...
Clayton and Metalcloak offer solid starter lifts for both 2.5ā and 3.5ā for around $1,600 without shocks. To my knowledge, Clayton lifts run significantly bigger than 2.5ā so you could probably get away with their 2.5ā lift for 37s...
Overall, I love my mods. The main thing I wouldāve done differently is buying a full lift kit all together vs piecing together over time. I also wouldāve gone straight to 3.5ā lift and 37s.
What I would buy again:
- Metal Cloak control arms & track bars
- Fox 2.5 DSCs
- Synergy Tie Rod and...
I would never put my dog in the bed but I understand everyone is different about it.
That being said, Iām sure thereās some solid secure options out there as long as youāre willing to pay up for quality.
Btw, Rosie is cute as fuck ?
No I didnāt care to even get a quote from them. Ever since they asked me to pay for damages from a tow company THEY hired, Iāve lost all respect for them. Iām glad to finally be off their insurance.
Finally switched from USAA Houston coverage to Progressive Massachusetts coverage.
Was paying $1,266 for a 6 month policy
Now Iām paying $513 for a 6 month policy
I took way too long to switch. I wasnāt anticipating that big of a swing, ??āāļø
Some of the aftermarket CAI look cool but if you must grab one, go with the Mopar one imo. If it somehow screws something up downstream in the engine/sensors, then it should be covered by warranty.
Side note: Per my old service advisor, most people fuck up by spraying too much oil on the...
Iāll stay away from recommending off-road mods for now, thatās a whole different monster.
I vote buying a stubby antenna as soon as you can. No real reasons to do it other than it looks cool and it wonāt flap around in a car wash.
oh yea, thatās a beautiful Jeep btw. Nice find.
I see you have the Max Tow too. Mine is a ā21 model which I remember reading somewhere on this forum might be important for this (not sure though). ā21 Model Year has a designated signature lighting wire on the headlight harness (see image below). Donāt bother tapping the DRLs if you have the...
Itās crazy to me that midsize pickups can even be optioned to higher prices than a medium-to-large Lexus SUV (new GX for for example starts at $64k and comes with a twin turbo 6 banger pushing 479 lb-ft of torque).
I love my Jeep but there aināt a chance in hell Iād pay that kind of money for...
If youāre on the fence about 35s, then just get them. Skip 33s, donāt even waste your time/money with them if you like the idea of 35sā¦.especially on that mopar 2ā lift.
Then once you get the 35s on, Iāll see you over in the āCan I run 37s on stock 3.73 gearsā thread ?
edit: skinny 35s as...
