Look on the bright side…this would be considered a “feature” in a post-apocalyptic zombie situation.
For this reason, go with the stubby, OP. Better safe than sorry.
Really depends on how you use it. I can’t say for sure because I don’t run 40s. Do you go off-road or will it only be on pavement? That could be the difference between a 4” lift and a 6” lift….it could also open up a can of worms into whether or not you need to upgrade your axles. 40s are heavy...
I always just round down to the nearest value listed by the manufacturer.
For example, Mickey Thompson list my 37/12.5/17s at 36.7in so I put 36.5in into JScan. My speedometer is accurate with my gps app at 75mph.
My bad Rocksalt. LOYO also makes a nice tailight that I’ve been running for 2 years or so. One of them did die recently though, and they sent me a single replacement at a discounted price. They also expedited shipping which was nice.
I didn’t use any fasteners at all for the install. I only...
I used these way back when. They worked well for me. Looks like the price dropped significantly online from when I bought them 3 years ago.
I didn’t have the high beam issue.
The photo kinda stinks but I do remember them being significantly brighter than the halogens.
I chopped off the big suitcase and the smaller one next to it. Left on the tiny one by the exhaust tip though
it’s loud, probably too loud for most people on the highway lol. I don’t mind it though, I prefer the raw sound over a quiet ride. The occasional crackles & pops help too
If I was...
Loving my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT’s. They look very aggressive but aren’t loud on the road oddly enough. I haven’t done a whole lot of driving on them yet but so far so great.
Other people with them have said great things about the wet & snow performance as well (I haven’t driven them in...
Too much imo.
In my area for example, I’m seeing 2022 & 2023 Overlands listed for that price range. 10k+ less miles too…in some cases 20k less miles.
I’d pass on that one you found personally.
Edit: 2021s and 2022s. The 2023 I saw was a rental use. I’d probably not consider that one either.
I’ve been running LOYO headlights for a couple years now no issues. I have the 7” dragon eye version that comes with a mounting bracket for the JT.
However they do make a 9” headlight that will be more flush with the Gladiator grill. This is the one I would go with personally if I bought new...
95mph is the fastest I remember ever going. I did it recently on my new 37s just to test em out. Surprisingly stable at those speeds, but loud ass wind noise of course.
I typically coast between 65-75 on road-trips.
Slightly off topic, so on topic - I heard an Astrophysicist use the North Pole for explaining time before the Big Bang (I believe was quoting Stephen Hawking to a degree)
The question asked was “what do you think was happening before the Big Bang?” Amongst other theories, the physicist said...
