Just hopping in to say the Discount Tire rep on here has helped me out with tires 2x so far. Thank you Discount Tire and I'll be back again and again as long as I'm on this side of the grass.
There is no need for me to post pics because the ones above will suffice.
The only thing I changed is I put mine in a barn. I got the hooks from Harbor Freight. They hold 100lbs each and I only used 4 total. They come in 2-packs for $5 each pack. The 1x6 I used was a used oak board and I...
I'll look into it, but it is kind of late this go-round. I bought a 4 year battery and am getting the aux battery checked out at the dealer in the morning. If they go bad again, I may go the Genesis route.
One more thing........dashboard still says 'stop/start not ready'. I read on another thread that this prob means the aux is indeed about dead.
Ya'll think it will even last a week so I can get it to the dealership appt? Or should I just buy the battery and change it out myself (very carefully)?
I'm scheduled to take her in to the dealership to test the aux battery in a week. They quoted me $55 to install. After all the clumsy mistakes I've made I learned some too.
Yeah, I could do the aux install myself, but it seems pretty risky considering I could have blown the barn up just...
Great news!
I couldn't wait till the morn so I walked out and started the Jeep. Everything is back to normal! Back-up cam works as does Sirius.
Thanks to all!
I did something wrong for sure.
Got the plastic clip loose and switched batteries.
Hop in the Jeep. Hit the button. POWER!!! It worked!
Then, I notice the radio, instead of the red tint on my Rubicon 8" radio, it's now blue. And Sirius XM is missing. Completely. And the back-up camera...
I did a search and it seems as though I'm in the running for least mechanically inclined dude on the forum. Battery died and bought a new one. Unbolted a few bolts and hit a dead end so I tried Youtube. There are no Jeep Gladiator battery removal videos...only aux batteries.
But there are...
All of this thievery talk reminds me of a Toby Kieth/Willie Nelson song.
Well a man come on the 6 o'clock news
Said somebody's been shot, somebody's been abused
Somebody blew up a building, somebody stole a car
Somebody got away, somebody didn't get too far yeah
They didn't get too far...
Gonna hit up IHOP for lunch, then pick up my young'un from school and take him to Longhorn Steakhouse for some cheese fries. Then we'll head over to Olive Garden and he can color while I eat. Wifey want to go to Bob Evans so we will meet her there afterwards.
It's nice to remember and...
I'll be making the trip one day, but Saturdays are out. Young'uns got league bowling. I did make it to Tennessee a couple of months ago for some Mountain trails at the Navy Seals Jeep trails.
Imma gonna keep an eye on this thread because I want a deal on 35's that will fit my stock Rubi rims. The problem I'm running into is that MT's are hard to find and almost never in stock.
Shame on ya'll for letting our beloved State thread to slip to page 2. I've been debating very hard for over a year now whether to upgrade to the Clayton 2.5" plus lift or whatever it's called. I'm rated 70% through the VA for injuries and am north of 50.
Next time you see me on the road here...
