Except for me every time (5 times) I've had a flat with a Jeep its been a side wall gash. Didn't matter if I was on road or off.
I carry tire plugs, but unfortunately a spare is required. I may do the 35 " tire for around town and the 37" for trips/trails.
I have a 2011 Jeep KK Renegade that is my crawler.
I also have a 2015 WK2 Overland ecodiesel that is my daily driver/overland rig. I'll be selling both to get the JT Rubicon.
I also had a 1996 XJ sport. Cant find the pics right now
I want something like this, but I want the windows to have mosquito mesh and opaque (both) window fabrics. Like most tents. My plan was to try and make the bed an occasional tent, but be able to fold it back when the roof and doors are off or I need to haul big stuff.
I'd also like an option...
WK2 Ecodiesel
I have the tune which tells me during all regens. It take about 13 minutes on the highway and 20 minutes on the street to regen. You can speed up the regen in traffic by manually shifting to a lower gear and keeping the RPMS up. But this burns a lot of fuel.
I am concerned, but unfortunately I don't have the patience to wait. Fortunately/unfortunately the wait for the diesel will force me to wait a little while. Hopefully by diesel production they will have worked out most of the issues
I thought that too, but my mild ecodiesel wk2 (tuned) build dropped the mpgs from 28-29 highway to 22-23 highway by just going up 1.5" in tire size (32" AT), adding a steel bumper and gobi roof rack. No actual lift on the Jeep. Now the city mpgs didn't really take much of a hit though.
I...
Yep. With the diesel I really wouldn't need that low of a gearing. I think the 4 Auto mode of select trac would be more useful on the bad weather days. It can still be locked into 4 low I'd true 4x4 is desired.
I still prefer full locking differentials over LSD or the ETC.
