I keep reading that the JPP 'Ultimate Dana 44 Advantek' crate axle assembly for the Rubicon Gladiator is the EXACT SAME axle assembly as is factory installed on the Gladiator Rubicon (including the Eco diesel). If so, may I ask 2 questions?
1-Why is FAD capability lost?! and,
2-What gives on...
Seems like an easy peasy add for the ‘22 Gladiator! That, and the Xtreme Recon package, with 37x13.50R18 KM3’s, and the Mopar/JPP 4-inch factory lift, and a nice sport bar, like the JT sport bar they teased at MOAB, or as a minimum, something similar to the ilk if the factory ‘RAMBAR’ on the TRX!
Interesting. I found this little gem at the bottom of the article from Motor1.com, written by Chris Okula on August 1, 2021 :
"Flagship products like the Jeep Wrangler are given priority of the scarce supply while more niche products like the Gladiator suffer. This doesn’t mean you won’t be...
Looks very nice! I plan to do the same thing to my Rubicon JTD when she arrives. BFG 37x12.50R17, with Black Rhino's, and -32. However, I'm told to go with at least the Mopar 2 inch lift kit (which measures out at an actual 2.5 inch of lift), or even the 4 inch Mopar lift. Otherwise, 37 inch...
Even more confusing: beyond the supposed 1 week shutdown waiting on chips, I believe this same plant will soon be closing for 2 weeks in August for workers vacations, then there’s another longer shut down to retool for 22 models. I wonder if this means 22’s are delayed, too?
In the state wherein I live, the highway patrol will sometimes cite the driver with huge tires (37 inchers definitely earns their full attention), sans mud flaps. Then they get nicked with the tires sticking out beyond the fenders more than a half-inch, no bumper in front of front tires (e.g...
So, just curious, do you ever get stopped for tires sticking out too far beyond fenders, and no bumper in front of front tires? Where I live, it happens…
Wow, sounds great! Your experience is a great reason to choose 3L EcoDiesel over the 3.6 Pentastar, if you want to run big 37’s, and yet still enjoy great fuel mileage, with plenty of power!
What with fuel costs going up and up like crazy with no limits in sight, whilst US fossil fuel...
Oh, thanks so much for the pic, and what a Beautiful Gladiator you have! So, I assume size is 37x12.50R70? Do you get any rubbing, either on or off-road? Does your 373 give you enuf umph when offf-road?
So, I have a 2021 Rubicon JT on order, with VIN in hand, but I could only order the 3.73. As soon as it arrives in the next few weeks, I plan to mount my new 37x12.50R17's BFG KM3’s. No doubt the stock 3.73 gearing will be too high, even with the diesel, and it will hunt in/out of 7th/8th gear...
