Understood why they told you to stop drilling :-) I found that installing the top outer screw (hardest to get started) first and having tape to keep the inner liner aligned to outer fender worked the best. Then I could work my way down finishing by installing the plastic push pin last.
Had to get cloth when i bought my Max Tow - StingGrey with Tan interior - I ordered my leather upgrade once i got the JT and had it all installed a few weeks ago. I liked that I had more choice aftermarket than the factory leather Black or Brown.
The one other thing - I tied a string to the bracket before trying to install it. My fingers had a hard time putting it in the right place and the string allowed me to pull it back up and reangle it. - The outcome is good - enjoy

Start Stop - no different than regular ignition - Vehicle features and functions operate in same way. If automatic - just need to pop back in Park if shutting down. 6 spd - parking brake and pick a gear.
The better way to address this though - What is your concern with Start/Stop feature?

I would say they are looking for $$ on both sides - Just high enough to get it over deductible - Low enough that if you wanted to go back to the couple they won't balk to much. If your that worried about it - Get it fixed. Bumpers take a beating just by parking by Braille -
