Understood why they told you to stop drilling :-) I found that installing the top outer screw (hardest to get started) first and having tape to keep the inner liner aligned to outer fender worked the best. Then I could work my way down finishing by installing the plastic push pin last.

Start Stop - no different than regular ignition - Vehicle features and functions operate in same way. If automatic - just need to pop back in Park if shutting down. 6 spd - parking brake and pick a gear. The better way to address this though - What is your concern with Start/Stop feature?

Old school method of protecting antenna and windshield frame - Cover the whip with shrink tubing or rubber door edge protection (c channel) - removable and adds weight to keep it from whipping around - plus is mar resistant.

I would say they are looking for $$ on both sides - Just high enough to get it over deductible - Low enough that if you wanted to go back to the couple they won't balk to much. If your that worried about it - Get it fixed. Bumpers take a beating just by parking by Braille -
