Interesting - I have a bikini and Safari tops for my TJ which provide good protection from falling rain (not spray) In looking at the tops for JL/JT's it seems that with the configuration and rail system - its more velcro (bungee) strap sun screens vs Bikini / weather protection.
I wave - if I get one in return all the better if not I chalk it up to focused driving. But don't have much patience for the cell phone user (wave or not)
I live by a college campus - lots of kids seem to have them generally don't get waves from them.
If I remember correctly - When you wanted the half doors for the JK originally it took a bit of time and option sets before they became available. Its been a while but I don't alternate set doors are a focus for Jeep. With the relationship with the aftermarket now (much better than TJ Wrangler...
Lets see - Dealer added modifications, Over priced and lacking in value that was on a Jeep that was considered in demand. Answers a earlier post on capitalism setting its on level - i.e. this isn't going to sell until priced to what the market will bear - Less likely now that new model is out...
Yes - you will have open diffs with the Max Tow option. The Rubi gets electronic lockers -
If I find a need to add a locker later - not a tough upgrade and so far haven't needed it.
Thats exactly what I did - After a little investigation - Turns out the support for the plastic is similar to the traditional Jeep C Channel bumper. I marked and drilled through the plastic and metal and was able to firmly attach a set of Hella LED driving lights securely. The aux switches...
Looks like a good candidate for 3D printing - keep costs down and material choice would give flexibility in finish. You could add base in design then -
Well if you think about it - the fronts are the same as a JL Wrangler - so engineering is done already - Monetize what you have. The rears on the JT won't take long once they get to it and in reality may not get the same attention as the front -
My theory any way - enjoy
yep - and its a nebulous question as nobody can answer what and how your going to use your JT - if you like the steps - use them. If your going to bottom out your jeep or get it in tight quarters that require higher clearance get rock rails instead. Steps are very helpful if you need them for...
If your new to off roading - the best thing to do is go do what you like - your jeep is quite capable. If you have a concern - stop and take a look to see what outcome may be - if bad don't do it. If possible - do it. You will potentially bump, clunk, bang into something - part of learning...
Hmm- i used angle wire cutters - cut the stock rivets off (Garbage anyway) and followed the directions from there. The three clipnuts and 1 bolt with nut - more than firm and easy to install. The Weathertech came with all the plugs and hardware needed. shockingly easy. Fully recommend WT -...
