Sure do. The difference is less than negligible.
Pressurized oil getting to moving parts as quickly as possible is of an exponentially higher priority than residual oil film.
“Most wear happens at cold startup” so you choose an oil with a THICKER cold viscosity so it takes LONGER to get to the moving engine parts. That makes sense.
The JL/JT are pretty modern as is, by Jeep standards.
Heck compare them to the JK which is in comparison a giant pile.
Not sure what you’re looking for. If you want modernization and refinement there are many SUVs to choose from.

There is going to be an advantage to the 4:1 transfer case in some crawling situations, but in 1st gear the 2.7:1 case is so low that it’s going to be fine most of the time, and I...
Thanks guys. Nothing to buy on the radar yet, but pretty likely will get a Clayton Overland Plus lift by this time next year.
I also need to make a decision on the tonneau cover. It's nice to have, keeps things dry and somewhat secure in back, but it's also tough to use with the rail...
The Shadow 2 still works good, one issue I was having was an occasional failure to extract. Changing the extractor spring is a pain in the butt... Gun would still run ok, but now all my magazine tubes are worn out, specifically the feed lips. Mags are expendable, all of my mags have had the...
