I have a blue full-sized Chevy now and it's a great and capable truck, but for where I live and my uses it's just too big. The half ton generally will be a better deal then a midsized truck. However the lower optioned 3/4 quarter ton is an even better deal :(
Shots fired! The gal raves about the Tacoma's ability to use ply wood in the bed of the truck. The JT has it's work cutout for it!
Surprised on how crappy the Ranger came out of that contest.
This is my biggest struggle with buying the Gladiator... I have a family of 5 and a dog. The good news is that my JLU I am able to get 3 car seats across. From my perspective a family of 4 + a dog would be easy.
I wish mid sized trucks had a bench seat up front like some of the full sizers...
Wow! Even more epic then I thought! What a trip! We all wish we had more time with those that we love! I'm glad you took advantage of that time w/ 3 generations. My Dad is at the end of line and my kids are too young for a trip like this. However all you can do is make the best of the time you...
Hahahah!
Good news is that you can get 3 across in a JL! You will need to get a more narrow car seat like the Diono Radian, but they'll fit! We have two Diono's and a regular sized one and they fit fine. Only problem are that those seats are not cheap!
Wha wha wha?!?! Probably one of the most epic overlanding expedition ever. Centered literally and figuratively on the Darien gap. Led by basically the founder of the Rubicon Trail, Mark Smith. A huge part of Jeep history. These vids should be a pre-req to any Jeep owner! (Don't feel bad because...
Amazing setup you got going here! :clap: And yes the JT will improve on this amazingness!
I'm going to do a lil thread jacking... I got to hear more about your awesome setup? That trailer looks like the back half of a jeep? Plus it looks like your overlanding with your whole...
No kidding?! That's basically the same setup as our Lil clan. Except we got twin 2yr olds.
Jeep and a dog your kids are going to crazy w/ it happening in the same year for you guys! Good times!
BTW are you from NorCal? The 707 is our area code out here.
The Black and Saddle combo really pops! It reminds me of my Volvo S60R that had the same combo. I loved that combo! I didn't love the 6spd failing on me at 90k miles though!
As it stands now IMO the Jeep wins in most categories. However I am really curious to see if the 2020 Colorado refresh closes the gap. Yet another thing to wait for!!
