If the other guy doesn't work out, you can have mine whenever you want for $50. I am in 20105, so a bit of a drive out from Fairfax station, but not too bad.
Anyone have an Overland Wheel takeoff that they are looking to sell?
I only want 1 (replace my spare), but might be open to taking a set if the price was right.
Thanks for the response. I think I have decided to got with a SmittyBilt soft RTT. I couldn't really get any sort of response from Torro on any current promotions/sales, and have heard similar things from others. I think at the price point I want to stay, my best bet is to go soft.
Any...
Reporting back. I am really happy with this.
First, I doubled up the velcro strips. Sticky side to sticky side, which left velcro on both sides. I then applied the velcro over the entire Invictus headliners. I probably went a bit overkill, but figured more is always better right?
I then...
Thanks. I am planning on installing lights and chopping, and like the idea of removing the plastic trim. Is the metal edge under that trim a "clean" line? Assume you like the look? Any regrets on the removal of the trim? Did you do the rears too?
Sorry if you already posted this and I missed it. Did you take off the trim around the edge of the painted fender when you chopped? Most of the chops I have seen leave the plastic trim and cut it in alignment with the lights. It looks like you removed it completely?
Yep, side steps off an Overland. I put power steps on, so took these off. Send me a PM, I can meet you somewhere this weekend, or you can swing by and pick them up. I am only about 30 minutes from Tysons.
They are enormous, I think shipping would be twice what they cost. You could probably buy them online somewhere for almost what it cost me to ship them. Sorry.
My Invictus headliner and extra Velcro came today! Once I get the Jeep back tomorrow from getting the lift on, I will install and report how it works connecting the Invictus to the Hothead.
@Invictus Off Road Thanks for the fast shipping!
I have the running boards taken off my Overland with less than 1k miles. They are basically new. I think I have all of the hardware.
$100? Will drive a little ways to meet someone. I am in 20105, Northern Virginia.
This is what I was thinking you could use to put on the hothead headliners to attach the Invictus Molle panels: https://www.velcro.com/products/for-fabrics/900201__sticky-back-for-fabrics/
Again, not really load bearing in any sense, but for things like sunglasses, a small flashlight, knife, etc.
The hothead is fabric. You bring up a good point. I would probably need to replace the velcro of the Invictus with some kind of 3M velcro meant to adhere to fabric, and the weight capacity of the Invictus would be significantly diminished, but for relatively light things, I think there might...
Has anyone put @Invictus Off Road Molle headliner over top of @Hothead Headliners? I have the Hothead headliners installed, and love them, but the storage features of the Invictus headliner is very interesting. Wondering if I could velcro the Invictus headliners over top of the Hothead...
@Torro-Offroad There had been some prior posts about a member discount and an "adventure package". I am cross shopping a number of hard shell RTTs, and have narrowed down to possibly the 2 person SkyLux.
Can you let me know the latest deal/offer for members.
Anyone else have a SkyLux and like...
Thanks Mike. Suspect you are right. It was weird that it was just slow, versus working or not working.
Now that I have that sorted, I love it. Replaced an 8.4", and it really is nice. I routed an HDMI port into the center console, and have a Chromecast for watching TV when parked. Pretty...
