Watch the adapters, I had to reverse the polarity on the factory side. That being said I went with the infinity on the JL’s base 4” UConnect and it’s such an improvement compared to the JT’s base 7” with no modifications. Even the wife comments on the difference.

Architecture does not mean duplication. It can be scaled, adjusted, etc. Again the hurricane had the design criteria to fit where a 5.7 fits. By your argument it wouldn’t based on your sizing. Even if the motor ends up slightly longer they can adjust firewall design and motor mount locations...

But the bore spacing between the 3.0l and 2.0l are different. So once again you can’t compare it. Remember displacement is a measurement of bore and stroke. A 4bt never came in a Dodge Durango and was much taller than a 318. Did not stop it from fitting pretty easily.

In theory maybe… again they had to clearance the firewall. But yes according to designers it was. Also as papa stated earlier the 4.0 was a much longer motor. The hurricane was designed to fit where ever a v8 was already. So there are space saving measures included in the design.

I bet they could fit it by redesigning the firewall. The original XJs didn’t have the bent firewall to clear i6.

I think the last batch I saw people receiving were adventures. So probably just the order they are unloaded. Hopefully the hurricane doesn’t screw up timelines. Mine came into port in Florida.

Hoping yours ships soon. Only difference is mine is a sport not sure how they break up the containers coming into port.

I went back and forth but according to RSI the are working to offer conversion doors one day. To me that would be ideal. I want solid doors for wheeling but the glass windows are better for my daily needs.

A little late to the party but don’t forget about the Alpha equips wheel offerings. Got the Delta model on my JL. Got them on sale for 130 at tire rack last spring. Seem to be holding up great to the rocks as they get rubbed.

Yeah my goal was to have it before winter. I was prepared to go through a second winter with my $150 yitamotor tonneau. It’s been a great cover. Did you order a sport or adventure model? They seem to arrive in waves of one or the other from my observations.
