Wv does not do emission testing. I have not had an “inspection” sticker on my deleted super duty in 9 years. None of our jeeps have them either, it’s a joke of a money maker for the state! It just happens to be a lesser fine for not having one than having an expired sticker.
I would call them. There isn't anything on their site for stock take off parts. Great folks to deal with btw. My JTR is there now getting a 426. My takeout had 25k on it. Was quoted 100/hr for labor rates as well on the swap and extended aux tank install. Which is great bc most local yocals are...
Thornbirds FTW!! Those were the shit back in the day, lol! My friend and I both had 33's on our TJ's in college.
I had one set of 36" SSR on an 86 square body and they were great tires, but I don't recall getting very many miles out of them.
I have not, but a well built TJ can go just about anywhere!
I decided to forgo the PSC, I simply don't need it and not worth the price of admission just to have it.
I really think its the KM3's. Have a friend with 37" km3 and has the same issues. My son is running 40" yokohama geolander MT's, with MC 3.5" and MC 1 ton steering, fox 2.0 ss, and it rides flawless, smooth as could be, with zero shimmy ever?!? IDK either.
Did this set up help with street/interstate manners? I get the occasional bump steer/shimmy when hitting bumps or bridge transitions while in a swooping turn. Currently have synergy 1 ton steering set up, track bar, icon pass through ss, and steer smarts gear brace on 39" KM3, but moving to 40's...
Agree. Have planned on that all along. Down fall is losing spare tire location, even tho only have a 37 for spare, but would get me out of a pinch.
I do have on board air, so apart from blowing a sidewall out, I could make do short term.
Thats where my hesitance lies, I never wheel anything that a tj on 33's can't handle. Our weekend day trips and overland camping/fishing trip are very moderate. I also pull my OP4 sometimes too, so that really limits the trails we take. It's not like I am wheeling moab, or out west where I'm...
Agree now is def the time to add it. I had not put any thought in it until now, and after driving one. Looking at psc site, full kit for a 392 is $3500, pump is 1400. I am waiting to get a quote on the addition, along with 25 gal ext aux tank.
Currently, running km3 39", which measure at 37.25 ish, probably similar to your 38's. I have been super impressed the 40" yokohama geolander mt on my sons JTR, so thinking I will upgrade to those when the time calls, and then likely axle upgrades.
Good info on the steering box. Would a psc, or...
Havent entirely decided on the psc kit yet, while it is a very nice add on, I in no way need it for what I do with the truck. Just have to decide if the on road manners are worth the price?!
Engine and trans getting swapped.
As for the 513's, like the psc, I don't need a 60/80 combo for my...
Any shock longer than 28" with large enough lift will give you fits with stock front ds. We are running a MC 3.5 with a 1" TF spacer on the front of my sons JTR, but very light wheeling, never full droop, and max ext length on fronts is 28, and no issues with stock DS in his.
My son and I dropped my JTR off at AMW this past Monday for a 426 swap. I have ran a magnusson on it for 3 years, and around 10k flawless miles thanks to Dave on here with dialing the tune in perfectly. I was ready for more, and something that I did not have to fret everytime I climbed north of...
