Def agree with all of that! I can make a better meal over a camp fire than about any restaurant, lol, but the wife and kids like to go places every now and then. Really had my hopes set on a few hundred acres in montana/Utah to live out my days, but I have been priced out of that dream!
What...
East TN anyday over anywhere in WV...if living cost and buying wasn't an issue. Eastern panhandle of WV is growing like crazy, but if I had to pick an area in WV, it would probably be elkins area, or down around the Greenbrier. Not to much to offer as far as culture, restaurants, shops, but an...
No cats on an ls engine is no issue at all, have ran no cats on all of my ls based Z06's. Only downfall, ya smell like a gas can after a long road trip. High flow cats can be purchased for around $500 last time I looked, but that was awhile ago.
Here in WV, the have inspections, suppose to get...
i have a flashcal somewhere for it, but it has custom tune for my magnuson, so I don't fool with the handheld anymore just in case it would mess something up.
That said, they worked fine before the light went bad, and I haven't messed with the settings for years.
It's definitely the same light housing that I sent in. Now, whether the same internals were used to rebuild, can't say.
That was my first thought as well, the draw was higher on the new one causing the computer to cut power to it. Might need a new resistor?!
Had to send one of my baja design squadron fogs in for warranty repair, and upon re-install, both lights come on for 2-3 seconds, go out for 6-8 seconds, comes back on for 2-3, go out again and repeats this 3x before going out all together until the jeep is shut off and turned back on. Upon...
Bumping this old thread with the same search. Recently added the smart cap, and looking for an extension type tent. Do not need a full size sleeping area with plans to sleep in the truck bed, but a small enclosed area for gear at night, and changing area.
Have in my mind exactly what I would...
That price does not include labor, so another 4kish for that. Probably could get 3-4k on engine being basically brand new. They offer a credit based on mileage, or you could deal with the hassle of trying to sell privately.
Amw told me the hemi swap adds about 400 lbs over the 3.6.
These two are plenty! Our Mal is super chill for a Mal. The Beauc is only 5 mos old, pushing 70lbs and he is full of piss and vinegar! Great pup though!
My JTR definitely runs better with the sc, no question about it. The low end torque to pull inclines at low rpm’s on 39’s is great. Much better than the na 3.6. Fuel mileage with the sc was good as well.
Knowing the 3.6 is not a good base for FI, I clench my jaw everytime I go north of 3k rpm’s...
Yep, that is what i'm thinking as well.
As far as the second part, have heavily thought of that as well, and would absolutely be the smartest route financially!
Especially, after seeing what some recent BAT auctions have brought for 392 and HC JTR's! I have my JTR exactly the way I want it...
they said 3-4K, with or w/o the sc.
Debating if it’s even worth the hassle to remove and try to sell for 2500-3k that I’d list it for. Tbh, I don’t really feel like removing it, and paying to have it removed would really defeat the purpose.
Decided that I am going to do a hemi swap, and debating on whether to take the magnuson off and deal with the hassles of selling (and returning to stock), or just take the hit on it with the engine credit. Have looked around marketplace, here, and JL forums, not many out there. Thoughts?
Thats the reason I did not buy these for my raptor when I needed to replace my ko2 this fall. They were only avail in E range, so I went with K02 again. The ride comfort on our jeeps bt C and D load are very noticeable, cannot imagine how stiff E would be on these lighter vehicles.
Thank you for the great feedback! I am going to call AMW and discuss some options.
All the points you made are inline with how I am looking at it. I've had high hp vettes, and they are what they are, fun to drive when the weather is nice, but here in WV, the roads are shyte, and I've always...
