We hit Sand Hollow this year as well. Lots of fun in the sand but I had a damaged wheel speed sensor. Didn't have lockers. We were just passing through so I waited until later to fix it.
That sucks! I feel bad for you.
While you can never 100% protect your Jeep from being stolen you can prevent the majority of thieves from getting it. From what I have read, the tow truck method used for vehicle theft is a very small percentage of total thefts. Repeaters seem to be the easy way...
Second the suggestion to call Metalcloak. They will tell you what will work or not.
I ended up with 4.25" backspace and about -18 offset. 37 x 12.5 x 17 tires. 17 x 9 wheels. I do have a bit of poke but I am ok with that.
I don't know what caused it. Maybe someone else can speculate. Maybe just a bad plug? We were running up a hill on a highway at higher RPMs when it happened.
We were in Barstow, California which is a crappy area. We were just heading straight back home. Ran down to Palm Springs instead of...
We came down Flint. No problem for the Gladiator. The switchbacks on Black Bear are tighter and the Gladiator can do those with no problems.
The trip out to Dollhouse was slower going than I expected. Nothing we couldn't handle but it took more time than I planned for. We are on a 3.5" lift and...
You can do a lot with just the basics. Then figure out what you need as you go along.
For me, I really like having a fridge. Might even add an ice maker. The hot shower is nice if you are gone for a long time, but for many trips you really don't need it. We also really like having Starlink. I...
Everything I could find! LOL A few key resources on these particular trips were:
Roadtrippers app to plan the cross country road route and look for interesting things on the way.
www.overlandtrailguides.com to explore different overland routes and download gpx files.

Thanks! We made it to Gemini Bridges on this trip as well. Haven't been to the others you mentioned yet. The photo of Uranium Arch is probably the best angle you can get a good picture from. I tried from all over the place and that one turned out the best. Here it is from a few different angles...
What a great Gladiator year! Two main trips from Florida to California and back. Despite one mechanical issue I love this Jeep.
Just looking through my phone at pics from this year. Thought I would share some of them.
Death Valley
Desert dust
Titus Canyon
Panamint Range...
Sitting here looking at the Gulf of Mexico as I smoke a cigar and drink some Appleton 21. Lise is too good to deal with shareholders! ?
Your wife sounds like a keeper!
The Frontrunner Slimline works great if you want to be able to carry a lot of weight. Easy to remove the panels. Sounds like it's over the budget you allocated for the rack though. It also requires a permanent install with drilling through the top...
This morning it threw a 302 and then a 300. Didn't throw the 301 again. I made an appointment at a dealer for Monday. Just gonna make the best of it and crash in a resort until they get it figured out.
