Just be aware that adding a steel bumper and a winch will lower the front end of your truck 1-1.5 inches. Which means a leveling kit is likely in the cards...
The response I received from Teraflex when I asked about their spacers working with the Mojave:
Thanks for reaching out! Yes, our spring spacers work with the Mohave. Anything under 2 inches and you won't need shock extensions.
I agree.... Hence my confusion. I talked to someone over at 4 Wheel Parts and they said the kit should work fine. I actually just sent a note to Teraflex and asked them... If anyone should know definitively, it will be them!
I talked to a guy at the parts counter at the local Jeep dealer this morning and he said it won't work with the Mojave. ?? Have you gotten your spacers yet?
So, I want to confirm what I am reading here.... I have added a steel bumper and winch and the front end of my MOJAVE dropped about an inch. From what I gather here, I can use the TeraFlex 1.5" Leveling Kit (P/N 1155300) without using shock extenders to get it back up to it's original height...
Here is the one I bought: For 2018-20 Jeep Wrangler JL 3-Piece Steel Rubicon Front Bumper w/LED Fog Lights | eBay
Delivery was free and very quick (5 days from the time I ordered it).
I did my swap on Wednesday. I bought the eBay knock-off and like many of you, I was impressed by the quality and the extra parts that came with it. I also swapped the red hooks for my orange Mojave hooks and used my original LED fog lights. I trimmed the skid plate so it would mount properly...
I find the quality is pretty much in line with the Mopar Rubicon steel bumper. And at less than $500, the price is a whole lot easier to swallow than the current Quadratec $1099.99 "sale" price for the Mopar bumper. PLUS, the eBay bumper comes with the Winch mounting kit, LED fog lights and...
HA! I responded to this question before I even saw your post. I'm not overly concerned about the holes right now - but I think plastic plugs is the cheap and easy way to go.
This was earlier this year. Outer Banks - Cape Hatteras. This is my Gladiator Overland. Two weeks after we were there, I traded the Overland in on a Mojave.
This is great information ShadowsPapa! Based upon your recommendations, I went ahead and ordered the Mopar steel bumper "knock-off" on e-Bay. It will be delivered tomorrow. I have a Mojave (although I drove an Overland for a year before trading it in and buying my Mojave 6 months ago). The...
I installed JCR Bed Side Molle Panels on my Mojave this afternoon. They seem very well made and sturdy. What I DID NOT like is that the mounting hardware (nuts and bolts) were silver. It looked really cheesy once I got it installed. So, I removed them and painted them black. It looks OK for...
So I am a little confused here. Your link to eBay is for an 07-18 Wrangler JK. If I do a separate search for a steel bumper for a Gladiator is always comes up with a 2018-2020 Wrangler/Gladiator bumper. Are you saying that a bumper for a 2007-2018 Wrangler fits a 2018-202 Wrangler? That...
I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Bestop Sunrider on Friday afternoon. It was delivered today around noon (kind of a surprise since it is Labor Day). So, I went ahead and installed it this afternoon. I know people have been having issues with attaching the z-clips, so wasn't looking...
