  1. MC true dual rate 2.5 vs 3.5

I initially did a Clayton 3.5" lift, which is actually 4.5" in the front. That's more than the MC 3.5" in the front, although I don't know the true measurement of the MC. Either way, my point will remain the same: The angle of the stock front driveshaft was fairly steep after installing the...
  2. Question on rake

Springs set the ride height, and shocks control the ride. Several options here: 1. Replace front springs with 1.5-2" taller springs 2. Add 1.5" leveling spacer kit to the front (Teraflex makes one for about $115) 3. Replace rear springs with 1.5-2" shorter springs. A spring pair front or rear...
  3. Dirt Logic Shocks for your Gladiator

Like @Rusty PW asked, what is the collapsed length of your shock that you are calling a 4 or 5" shock? I'm not sure I follow what you're saying in your response.
  4. What's your local dealership's hourly rate?

😁 it's so easy to call dealers out on their BS and I'm still impressed with this comeback
  5. Tools needed to install Mopar fox shocks from a 2022 gladiator on a 2023 with Mopar shocks

Considering you already bought them though, it will probably only take you an hour, maybe 2 tops, to swap them out - and you get to work on your Jeep a little. Swap them, drive them around - find out for yourself if you like how they ride. If you don't like them, swap them back! If you do like...
  6. Tools needed to install Mopar fox shocks from a 2022 gladiator on a 2023 with Mopar shocks

It's pretty easy. Just need a few wrenches. You don't need an impact wrench - it can be done with plain old wrenches. Here's a tutorial
  7. My Build: 2023 Jeep Rubicon Gladiator on 40's

What a beaut. Awesome to see someone else doing their own work, too!
  8. It's full-Throttle Thursday! Show us those action shots!

You've got steel ones, man! I think I would have froze up with that off-camber angle.
  9. 2024 JT Rubicon and 2024 JL Rubicon aren't the same rear axle.

For what it's worth, the rear axle part numbers on pre-2024 models also were not the same. The spring and shock mounts are different on the JT in the rear.
  10. Shock length for “tweener” amount of lift

On flat ground, measure the distance center to center of the top to bottom bolts of your current shocks. Then go find the length specs of the Bilsteins - compressed length and extended length. You’ll want to pick the shocks where the middle value between compressed and extended length is closest...
  11. Rear Axle lock

For the perfect solution, let the service department do it under warranty and replace the assembly (if they will). The Z Locker will fix the blinking alert and give you a functional locker, but the Z Locker cannot detect if the locker is actually locked - it will tell the computer it is locked...
  12. 2024 Mojavicon to be

Great build journal! I also have a Mojavicon and it does me very well. Keep on winning.
  13. Opinions on Best Lift for a JT Rubicon

+1 on the fear mongering from those people. Not that there’s anything wrong with not doing the big stuff. But even if you drag… so what. You’d have likely dragged long arms too.
  14. New to the gladiator family !!! Question about mods

I'm glad you're able to live out your dream and customize your own Gladiator! Some good comments and advice above. Like others said, center diff lock is already there for you. I recommend ARB Air Lockers if you want to add them front and rear. If you're moving to 35" tires and don't ever plan...
  15. The Mojave JT - Build Information & Journal

March 2024 Metalcloak control arm drop brackets (Pro'lignment Kit) Since I'm running 5" of lift, I figured I'd reduce my front control arm angle to improve on-road feel. I felt the Metalcloak drop bracket offering is solid and I'm happy with the result. Asphalt potholes are much more forgiving...
  16. Stock Mojave Eye to Eye Measurements?

Yep that's 100% the case. Same with a 1-1.5" leveling kit (spacer pucks)
  17. Stock Mojave Eye to Eye Measurements?

Wow, a JT Overland, then a Mojave, then a JL 392, then a JT Rubicon all in 4 years? The man loves his Jeeps!
  18. Stock Mojave Eye to Eye Measurements?

The total extended rear shock length eye to eye is 25.75ā€, so take 3.5ā€ off that to get 22.25ā€ at ride height. I didn’t measure the bypass zones on the test bench for the rear but the 7 7/8ā€ of travel is the same as the front. I’d guess the ride zone is a little longer than the fronts, so 21.5ā€...
  19. Stock Mojave Eye to Eye Measurements?

To add more to my original thread post: Sometimes springs sag over time and accessories (steel bumper, winch, a bunch of ducks) can cause them to ride lower, effectively shortening the ride height length of the shock. My OG post is describing the bypass zones of the shock. Jeep engineered...
