  1. Gear pattern check

It's okay to have a line to the left or the right edge (heel or toe) of your pattern, and okay if the pattern isn't centered left to right on the tooth. But if the pattern has a sharp line deep in the tooth on the root or is running off the top edge of the tooth, your pinion is too deep or too...
  2. Gear pattern check

I think your pinion is a little too deep. You don't want to have that sharp line on the root of the tooth. Good on ya for tackling the project yourself!
  3. The Mojave JT - Build Information & Journal

Finally made it down to Moab for a quick weekend trip. I ran Hell's Revenge and Poison Spider Mesa. Both were great trails and I had a great time. Here's a video of me going up Hell's Gate.

Thank you! I'm honored ?. The Rubicon steel bumpers were already on it when I bought it @ 5000 miles, so I unfortunately don't know the process of installing them. I have seen a few YouTube videos in my feed that cover the topic though - maybe you'll have better luck there.
  5. Mojave lift question...

do you mean product link? They only have one kind of JL/JT front springs at varying lift heights. https://www.synergymfg.com/synergy-jeep-jl-jlu-jt-front-lift-coil-springs.html
  6. Mojave lift question...

My Mojave is still using the OEM Fox 2.5s with Synergy lift springs (and a complete lift otherwise). I tried Clayton springs as well for a few thousand miles, but find the spring rate of the Synergy springs to be a better pairing with the damping of the Mojave Fox shocks as far as ride quality...

Track bars and rear control arms still available.
  8. KB Voodoo VRS Kayak Racks

I just gotta say this is a badass Gladiator pic. Makes me want to go out and buy kayaks and a rack!
  9. Mojave front locker using Rubicon switch.

Are you going to open source it?
  10. Mojave front locker using Rubicon switch.

@Temperance, question about your website description of your ALCM: I have a friend who instead of the ARB Twin (CKMTA12) has the ARB Single (CKMA12) compressor, which has a maximum of 100psi instead of 150psi. For this setup, would you recommend a pressure switch that is ON at 90psi/OFF at...
  11. Mojave front locker using Rubicon switch.

I'd check the connections/current/signal between the z-auto adapter and the locker. Since the vehicle is showing the front as locked, this indicates the z-auto adapter is receiving the right signal from the vehicle, as well as sending a signal back to the vehicle. The only thing remaining is...

May 2023 Regear to 5.13, ARB Air Locker (Front) w/ OEM control, Synergy Springs What a project! After many hours of research and learning, I tackled the project of regearing The Mojave. I added an ARB RD245 air locker to the front as well, and swapped out the too-stiff-for-me Clayton springs to...
  13. Help! I know this isn’t normal!!

I also have that and have had it since new. Maybe your sound is different, but I'm fairly confident mine is just the transition of momentum through the drivetrain between being on-power/coasting, probably associated with backlash of the ring and pinion (not sure if this one is audible) as well...
  14. The Mojave JT - Build Information & Journal

That’s great to hear, thank you! It’s so hard to know without trying.
  15. The Mojave JT - Build Information & Journal

This isn't so much a build post, but I recently tested out the build a bit more with a trip to Sand Mountain in Hurricane, UT to have a good time in the dunes and the red rock. We did West Rim Trail and Bzzackwards and explored a bit. I already was planning on this, but I'm going to swap out...
  16. Installed Desert Does It Seat Slammers, incredible success lowering driver seat height :)

Can you post pictures of what angle the seat is at installed?
  17. Mojave front locker using Rubicon switch.

Makes sense. I’m planning on soldering together a functional equivalent this week similar to what you had in your original fritzing schematic. I appreciate your work on this as I too want an OEM experience with the front locker.
  18. Mojave front locker using Rubicon switch.

The locker wiring harness uses 1-1456426-6 TE Connectivity 4P Connector as listed in the original post. What is the part number for the matching connector on the ALCM? For the final design did you continue to use the small Adafruit perma proto or something else? I ask because I’m interested to...
  19. The Mojave JT - Build Information & Journal

nice, that’s awesome! I am regearing next month to 5.13 and adding an ARB front locker. The 4.10s have been acceptable around the county I’m in and off-roading, but struggles where the freeway speed limit is 80mph with hills.
