Performed my second pan drop Saturday morning, 19,700 miles on the odometer and 3700 miles since the first pan drop @ 16k miles. I will run another 3-4K miles before I drop the pan again about July/August and will complete my 4th pan drop either by end of year or in the spring of 27.
I’m happy...
Good question. The click doesn’t sound like a metal spring. It’s definitely plastic sounding.
Went to the dealership today for some brake diagnostic and service and I’m also getting all 4 door checks replaced under warranty! I’ll be good for another year now,…I’ll have to try the PB Blaster
If it’s clicking, it’s done, however…. The clicking stops when it becomes a paper weight or dog chew toy.
Any aftermarket fabricators that want to run with this and make metal ones?
I PPF’d the whole hood on my 21 JTR and 3 years later the front and side edges bubbled. The first fix was to rip off the ppf and do a repaint fix. Cost was on me to re-cover the hood with PPF.
4 months later, paint was bubbling again and dealership and body shop fought it out as to who was...
…. Clicky door checks when opening doors. New replaced ones don’t seem to last a year.

1. Install the first 4 quarts as normal then;
2. Force in the next 1.5 quarts above the fill hole with special...
I’m assuming you still have warranty?? I’d stick to what your book is recommending just as @Bandit’s Lair has said. If you’re going ahead with suggestions, what’s your wrenching skill level? Would you do this service yourself or have the dealership do it? You looking to save money, doing just...
Jack up all four corners, traction control off and put it in 4x4 drive. Have someone up top and you get underneath with stethoscope and touch the diffs. You’ll find your bad bearing.
it’ll probably be loud enough you don’t need a stethoscope.
You need Crow Feet wrench to get in there. Here’s a pic of what I mean.
