  1. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

I played hooky and took Dolly to the beach today. I even saw a whale, but this time it was alive and outside the vehicle. Plus, this apocalypse-mobile was at the inspection station.
  2. Stellantis layoffs

This always gets under my skin, like nobody who isn't in the office is working. When covid hit, I went from one or two days a week in the office to zero, but my days went from 8-10 hours to 12-16 hours, working nights, working weekends. I work in health tech, so we were burning midnight oil to...
  3. Key Fob, Likes = Dislikes Poll

The fob is a ridiculous brick. A replacement from Threedom helps, but it's still not great.
  4. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

My answer will be just as scientific as the poll itself... I've had the JT for just over two years, and ESS has done its job flawlessly in that time. With the auto, my foot has never hit the gas pedal before the engine was ready to go. With real world use, my average fuel economy has also never...
  5. SHW Offroad Seat Delete, an Honest Review

Duke made it to almost 15, and he used stairs or a ramp for the last five years or so. Our current lab/hound mix is about 10, and he figured out the stairs in no time.
  6. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Did my best impression of an ice road trucker. Last time on this road, the water crossings were so deep we had to go slow and careful. This time, I just rode the ice like a freeway.
  7. Winch battery disconnect and circuit breaker?

If you don't feel like fabricating a mounting plate, I found one from CenterAK for $29. Made in the USA, perfect fit, shipped fast. Thread.
  8. Winch plate recommendations for Badlands Apex 12,000 with stock 2024 Rubicon X bumper

I have the Rubicon steel bumper and Badland Apex 12k winch. I used the Bulldog winch plate and Rugged Ridge XHD spacers. The cable loom was a tight fit, but didn't need relocation. I hammered the corner of the bumper lip by the winch clutch lever to make sure it would clear.

  10. Vermont: Woodbury Mountain or Belvidere Mountain road?

I get that... My favorite trail in WV is surrounded by posted property. You see people trespassing (mostly SxS riders for whatever reason), and it makes me worry that the road will get gated at some point. I have had this experience with NH class VIs a couple of times. You come out of a...
  11. Stock height Gladiator Sport S and underground parking garages?

Newer construction, too. The whole 1960s-era Prudential Center/Hynes Convention Center/Sheraton complex in Boston has multiple large underground garages that are all posted as 6' 0". I ran into this for the first time over the summer, when I was trying to park in an unfamiliar garage down in...
  12. Stock height Gladiator Sport S and underground parking garages?

I have a Rubicon, no lift, BFG KO2s in 315/70R17. At 35psi, my overhead clearance is 6' 3" at the roofline, plus an extra 3/4" for my bed rack. Here in Boston, there are lots of garages that are posted with less than 6' 3" clearance, and some with taller clearances where some parking spaces...
  13. New Wheel Decision - AEV vs. Method

I recently had my Method 705s with BFG KO2 35s broken down to have the godawful balance beads removed. The guy who did it gave the Method bead grip tech a big thumbs up, as he said it made breaking the bead in the shop a huge pain in the ass. I regularly run 10psi on the sand without problems...
  14. Does my 2021 Gladiator support Android Auto?

I have a 2022 with the 8.4" screen, and I use Android Auto on every trip. I have only one time seen an issue (caused by a Garmin watch, I think). Otherwise, completely flawless for nav, calls, and entertainment. I wonder how many people who report constant AA issues are using older or discount...
  15. Let’s see your pets cause they are the best companion you can have!!!!!

My wife and I adopted Huckleberry this spring, without knowing much, beyond the fact that he was 9 years old, from Louisiana, and his old owner had died. Turns out, he LOVES Jeeps. The first time we took him out to the truck, he went straight to the JT and started dancing by the door to get in...
  16. We're in a Beachy Mood!!! Show us your Rig on Sand!

Race Point, Cape Cod. I like to fire up the grill, then sit up on the bed rack with binoculars watching the humpbacks play while lunch is cooking. Still waiting to see a great white chowing down on a seal in the shallows.
  17. ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) Ready! Aftermarket Retrofit Install

Emergency stop has never kicked in when someone suddenly pulled out in front of me and I needed it, but it's been triggered three different times by driving under a bridge at highway speed. I have it set to warn only now so I don't get killed by the trucker behind me.
  18. Old Jeep pics [ Jeep porn ]

I'm going through a bunch of old photos to put together a slideshow for my mom's 80th birthday. Ran across this pic of her in a flatfender taken in 1972, likely in the Marshall Islands or Guam.
  19. If Jeep picked this forum to decide on their engine offerings

I would love to keep the 3.6 and have a PHEV option built on the 3.6 instead of a 2.0.
  20. Lame but...name or theme for your Gladiator?

How do you clear the snow off your windshield? My JTR is Dolly cause she's a little bit country (with a 'raise hell and praise Dolly' sticker on the back glass). My old Tacoma was Maryanne, named after Mike Mulligan's steam shovel, cause she didn't look like much but she worked hard.
