I just got my 12k Badlands Apex on the 25% off Labor Day sale, and I was perusing old posts to see what it will take to mount it up. So many posts mention having to trim the clutch lever, re-route the solenoid wires, or redrill the mounting plate. Did the Bulldog plate plus Rugged Ridge spacers...
That looks like a solid product, and I'm in the market for a compressor in the next year or so. Right now, I either use the free air at the beach I go to, mooch from a friend with an ARB, or wait forever while my little craftsman inflator airs up my 35s.
I like to use the tpms to get close. Usually, by the time my wife yells at me to stop, we're a psi or two high, anyway. Then I use my arb deflater to get back down to my target.
Okay, airing back up after a recent adventure, I learned that my friend's JT Willy's will automatically honk the horn when the tires reach the desired PSI. This would be great, so my wife and I can stop yelling at each other when I don't hear her say stop from inside the cab. Online, I have seen...
I just bought a set of 315/70 r17 KO2's on Method 705 wheels from an online discounter. They were supposed to come mounted and balanced, and they had an upsell option to add balance beads, which I checked without knowing much about them.
When the order arrived, I was surprised not to see any...
Lol, that thread is probably as close as I'll ever come to being famous. It took a couple of weeks, and a lot of elbow grease and fresh air, but I eventually got the stank out. For a minute, I was worried I would have to scrap it.
I've only been there a couple of times, and I've only done the first couple of trails each time. The trails are increasingly challenging, and I started to worry about body damage after the first two. Wheelbase is not your friend, so you end up backing and filling around trees a lot. The first...
I've had great results on deep Cape Cod dune sand with the Wildpeak ATs... But I've also seen people running total street tires on everything from a Winnebago to a Subaru Crosstrek. I think pressure matters more than tread pattern. Just air down to 11psi and have fun
I love gadgets like that, but RTTs and truck campers don't fit with the way I camp or the places I wheel, unfortunately. I'd consider renting one if I end up in CO again someday.
