Just encountered a dump truck off the road on I-84 on the NY/CT line, blocking both lanes of traffic for the recovery. Among the many emergency vehicles were these two Gladiators. Couldn't make out the agency or company.
The biggest feature I'm jealous of is the A-Pillar mounted mirrors on the Bronco. Being able to remove the doors and still have the factory power mirrors would be huge.
As others have noted, a 360° parking camera system would add tons of situational awareness on technical trails. Maybe they can...
People bypassing deep into private property has been an issue on my favorite trail down in WV, to the point where I'm worried the county is going to gate the public right of way. Thanks for trying to keep legal trails open.
When I got pulled over at Freetown, the cops were nice as can be. Two vets and two rookies, all on quads. I got the feeling that the older guy who seemed to be in charge wouldn't have even given me a formal warning if he wasn't breaking in the rookies. Bottom line is to just keep the Jeep on...
I've heard about MaBell, supposed to be one of the few decent legal trails in MA. I don't get out that way very much, except when my father in law is racing at Lebanon Valley every couple of years.
I can confirm that there aren't any points of interest marked on OnX around there.
Unfortunately, the New England board is one of the least active sections of this forum. You might get more responses by posting under the forced induction board.
Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one in southern NE trying to get out and actually wheel, but that could also be because there isn't anywhere to go around here. For the most part, I scratch the offroad itch when I'm visiting my mom in WV or my inlaws in PA, but I can at least hit up the...
Oh nice, I'll have to check it out sometime. My wife and I stayed at a campground near there a few years ago (before I had the JT), and I saw nothing but SxS headed towards Jericho Mountain.
I like the idea of peel and stick carpet squares and cutting out the access panels with a razor knife. I went the lazy route and just cut a big rectangle out of a carpet remnant to cover most of the GG and keep my dog from sliding around.
I've been trying to find more info on the New England section of the Appalachian Byway, but all the links I have stumbled across are dead. I've scoped out some Class IV roads on Onx and have some options, but I'm always looking for a challenge.
I wonder if that state park was Jericho Mountain...
When I was maybe 10, one of my neighbors managed to run over himself with a tractor. Broke his pelvis, spine, fractured his skull, took over a year to start walking. He was 15 at most.
