Actually, I got them because I thought I might want to get some after market fenders later on and I didn't need painted ones in that instance. But I'm actually happy with the black ones even if I never change them out. Your point is well taken though.

So today is the 90th day of my current road trip. As those who are following along know, I left Montgomery, Texas, on June 18th, the day after I picked up my new JT Rubicon, in Firecracker Red, with black fenders and hardtop. While at the dealership on the 17th, picking up the vehicle, I got a...
Would I change anything for long driving trips? Hmmmm, nothing comes readily to mind. A better phone holder maybe? I did lower the air pressure in my tires a little, I'm at about 38 psi now, I did find that made a bit of a difference in the wander Wranglers seem to have on the highway. Other...
Well, I have the Rubicon model, with the all terrain tires, and I’ve found it to be quite comfortable on long drives.
My current drive started on June 18th, the day after I picked it up, and is still going. I have 16,844 miles on it so far, out of Montgomery, Texas, and my trip has included a...
I am on my 8th Jeep vehicle in a row and I have not had the experience the item you quoted seems to indicate. As with any vehicle things will wear out, and my Jeeps have been no exception, but they have not been “unreliable” by any stretch of the imagination.
The 4 door JK Rubicon I traded in...
I got the Mopar one put on in Fairbanks, Alaska, when I rolled into town a few weeks ago. The trip through Canada was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced when it comes to bugs and windshields. I was kinda desperate and hoped the deflector would help.
It did. I noticed about 75% less bugs...
Sorry, but I am not a fan. After driving for so many years it is ingrained into my psyche that when I’m waiting at a light and my engine shuts off, that’s a BAD thing, lol. Every time it happens (because I forgot to turn it off when I set out) I get that little jolt of adrenaline from the...
After Denali I spent a week at the Seward military resort and it was fantastic. I would have stayed longer but wildfires on the Kenai peninsula generated so much smoke that it really became bothersome and obscured the views badly. So, back through Canada I came. Lots of great scenery all the way...
Okay, so I’ve made it back to the lower 48 and as of today I’ve got 15,016 miles on the JT, in 70 days. Taking her tomorrow for her third oil change & tire rotation.
After I left Fairbanks, Alaska, I headed down to Denali National Park only to find it was totally socked in with low lying...
