  1. Recall: 1M+ Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Fire Risk (June 9, 2026)

My interpretation of the recall notice is that the connector to the EHPSP (electric hydrolic pump) is the target of concen. You can see this from underneath the engine bay, on the passenger side, above the frame, and just ahead of the front axle line. Here are some pics of what I saw when I...
  2. Charge / maintain both batteries simultaneously?

I use a simple quick connect plug up front, using a simple standard SAE 12v plug. The charging cable drops down from my garage ceiling, so connecting is a snap, and I can't miss it before driving off.
  3. Gladiatorisms ……. Bizarre, weird things…Normal or….?

I can confirm this, however, this does not set the ringer volume 😔
  4. Gladiatorisms ……. Bizarre, weird things…Normal or….?

I appreciate the info. In my case, this 2022 was built with the Uconnect 4 with 7" display. Those settings are not to be found. Also, no nav built in - I use Android Auto for all apps including navigation. Thanks anyway.
  5. Gladiatorisms ……. Bizarre, weird things…Normal or….?

The phone ringer is terrifyingly loud. There seems to be no way to reduce the ring volume. While the ring volume can be adjusted after it starts ringing, the adjusted volume level of not saved. I finally acclimated to this after a couple years, but it still scares the stuff out of wife - she...
  6. Teraflex 1.5" to Mopar 2" or Both in unison ?

I initially installed the Teraflex 1.5" leveler on my Gladiator Sport along with 35" tires. Subsequently, I added a Teraflex sway disconnect. Recently I installed the Mopar 2" lift, and opted to remove the leveller pucks. My plan was to see how the vehicle sat after the lift, and if necessary...
  7. Mopar 2” Lift Kit

Short answer to your question: yes, that is a good price. I paid $1499 plus tax and shipping last year for the Mopar lift kit from Quadratec. (I also squeezed another $80 off by using a black Friday code.) I suspect Quadratec got a deal on a truckload of these because they've offered that...
  8. 2.5” lift input

Most 2.5" lift kits I've seen do not include a requirement for a track bar. My personal experience installing a new Mopar lift kit, which netted about a 3" lift, is that we didn't need a new track bar to keep things straight. That kit included front LCAs, spring saddles, shocks and springs. I...
  9. Replacement Shocks

I'm curious what those with rebuildable shocks do. I recently acquired some new Fox 2.5s. No complaints about the shocks at this point. However, eventually they will wear out. Is it worth it going through the rebuild if I'm happy with the shocks? Where do you go to get them rebuilt? Is this...
  10. Hard Brake Peddle/Won't start

Does anyone know where to source the just the hard line? The pre-shaped Mopar part (68358377AB) lists for about $90 (about $60-$75 on many sites). The part (#3) includes the fittings and sensor/check-valve, but all I needed was the hose (#2, but not sold seperately). Some bulk line and a...
  11. Battery Tender

True. I was using the simplified diagram to support the narrative of two batteries. (Also, I couldn't quickly find the diagram you shared whilst replying from my phone. I've seen it and would have posted that one if I could have quickly retrieved it. I've seen, followed, and used what you've...
  12. Battery Tender

Hey, it happened. I was thinking the same thing. Batteries connected together (at the ground strap on the main battery = normal draw. Disconnect the aux from at the main battery ground strap = increased draw. I measured this at the IBS post. Reconnect = return to normal. I do understand...
  13. Battery Tender

Short answer: (if you have not eliminated the aux battery) keep the two batteries paired (given they are both in good health). In addtion to simplifying your battery maintenance routine, it may reduce parasitic draw and extend disconnected storage time. I made an Interesting observation...
  14. Spacers

I am running a similar setup. (35" tires, stock rims, 1.75" Synergy spacers, plus a 1.5" leveler kit up front). I do take this off-road occasionally. Be advised that you may need to trim your lug studs with 1.5" spacers, if there is insufficient clearance/set back in the rims between the lug...
  15. Dashboard mounted dash cam - Need suggestions

Diddo on this. I'm using the RedTiger F9NP, windshield mounted, connected with a hard wire power line. The hard wire adds the bonus of having a security can. FYI: It's a very good dash can set up, but not as good as mounting a GoPro or smart phone to the dash for creating trail videos. The...
  16. Bubbling paint on Gladiator 2021

This is not uncommon, and covered under warranty. Most of what heard seems to be in the aluminum panels (hood, doors, ...) and the hinges. I found one area on the hood after a year and reported to the dealer. That was two years ago. Waiting to see if anything else pops up before doing the fix...
  17. Do I need to re-gear?

Sharing what I've learned on this subject, then my personal experience.... Tire size - yes, you need to 'tell the Jeep' what size the tires are. You can use JSCAN, Tazer, or pay your Jeep dealer to reprogram. Transmission - Assuming you have an automatic transmission, your 850RE transmission...
  18. Battery Tender hookup

The ways described in this thread will certainly get the trickle charge to both batteries. For convenience, I have added an SAE 12v plug in the grill to connect my Battery Tender. I also have the tow plug connection, so I can hook up from from or rear. (I also have a 20A solar charger for...
  19. Louder Horn no cut harness

That is how I did it. Both horns are wired, but the switch bank powers the horn relay, enabling or disabling the air horn. Works great.
  20. Louder Horn no cut harness

Nice project and good job installing. Thanks for sharing the process and procedures. I did a similar project using an electric pump air-horn very similar to yours. Like you, I couldn't fit the horn behind the grill, so it ended up adjacent to the washer tank - except on the other side. Also...
