  1. Weather alerts are useless

I have a 2022 JTR with the 8.4" UConnect infotainment system. This time of year, I get some sort of weather alert almost every time I drive it. The weather alerts are always for Franklin County, which is approximately 80 miles from where I live in Boston/Suffolk County, Mass. Sometimes I see...
  2. Opinion: Jeep Made A Massive Mistake By Giving Up On The Gladiator 4xe

I don't agree with everything in this article about how the JT stacks up to other midsize pickups, but I do think it was a mistake to cut the 4xe option. In 2025, it is hard to live with 13-14 mpg from a daily driver, no matter how fun it is on the weekend. I'll drive the wheels off my...
  3. Stellantis pauses Jeep Gladiator production due to parts issue

I didn't see a thread for this yet. Stellantis pauses Jeep Gladiator production due to parts issue Stellantis NV paused production of Jeep Gladiator pickups in Toledo this week as it works to "align parts inventory with demand," the automaker said. The Toledo Assembly Complex's south plant that...

  5. Horizontal air compressor storage?

Dumb question... Can I store a typical 12v compressor (Viair/Morrflate/Smittybilt/etc) on its side, or will that cause an issue with the lubrication system? I am probably going to pull the trigger on a compressor soon, and the best place for it would be in my Goose Gear, but it's not tall enough...
  6. Jeep vs Vineyard Vines collaboration

So apparently Vineyard Vines is releasing a bunch of Jeep branded $45 t-shirts and $128 hoodies. As part of the partnership, they have a sweepstakes where you can win a VV branded JTR. All that to say that as the rotten whalemeat guy on this forum, I NEED them to put this design on a sticker...
  7. Peddler's Glory with Friends

Peddler's Glory is an old road right-of-way in Preston County, WV. I posted about it when I took the JTR up it for the first time in 2022. This time, my wife was riding shotgun in my hydro blue JTR, Matt and his kids were in the hydro blue JTW, and Chris and his son were in the JK. The trail...
  8. Saw my first 6th gen 4Runner today

TRD Pro trim, driving around Boston EDIT: false alarm... It's a 2024 Sequoia Pro.
  9. Emergency Vehicle JTs

Just encountered a dump truck off the road on I-84 on the NY/CT line, blocking both lanes of traffic for the recovery. Among the many emergency vehicles were these two Gladiators. Couldn't make out the agency or company.
  10. If you have a cargo net, what size are you happy with?

I have a Gladiator brand cargo net. It's a good product, but the 4.75 x 6 foot size is a bit small. Anyone have a recommendation?
  11. Vermont: Woodbury Mountain or Belvidere Mountain road?

Looking at some Class IV roads up in Vermont for a long weekend in April. Anybody out there with experience on Woodbury Mountain or Belvidere Mountain road? I'm in a JTR on 35s and my buddy has a 4Runner on 31s, so looking for moderate thrills, I guess.
  12. Tesla Model Y dominates RTI test ?

I am generally pro-EV, but sometimes it seems like Tesla fans have brain worms. Imagine seeing an alleged off-road vehicle completely fail to articulate on an RTI ramp, and claiming it as a win.
  13. CenterAK winch cutoff switch mounting bracket

The last step after I finally mounted up my Badlands winch last weekend was figuring out what to do with the cutoff switch. This little bracket from CenterAK is designed to fit the most logical spot for the switch. It reuses a factory bolt and includes the other one. Perfect fit, arrived by...
  14. Class VI roads around NH lakes region?

I'm going camping on a friend's land near Squam next weekend. Browsing around, I saw Mountain/Old Mountain Rd and Beede Rd, heading over towards Plymouth. Anyone know if they're worth running, or if there are other trails nearby? Not the best map, but the roads in green are the ones I'm curious...
  15. How to make a Threedom fob quieter

I just got my Threedom M+ fob, and I love how much smaller and lighter it is in my pocket. However, I don't love how loudly it rattles against my other keys and pocket knife. Has anyone creatively inserted felt or rubber or something into their Threedom fob to fill some of the voids and make it...

  17. Tire fill alert... HOW??

Okay, airing back up after a recent adventure, I learned that my friend's JT Willy's will automatically honk the horn when the tires reach the desired PSI. This would be great, so my wife and I can stop yelling at each other when I don't hear her say stop from inside the cab. Online, I have seen...
  18. Tell me about balance beads

I just bought a set of 315/70 r17 KO2's on Method 705 wheels from an online discounter. They were supposed to come mounted and balanced, and they had an upsell option to add balance beads, which I checked without knowing much about them. When the order arrived, I was surprised not to see any...
  19. Anybody know what topper this is?

Showed up in a targeted ad in my feed today... they know me well!
  20. JTR overhead clearance: 35s, 37s, lift and none

Update: In case anyone stumbles across this thread and hopes to use it as a reference, I decided on no lift and BFG KO2s in 315/70R17. At 35psi, my overhead clearance is 6' 3 and 3/4" at my bed rack, about 6' 3" at the roofline. I have a good problem: I am starting a new job later this month...
