Nothing yet, I'm still outfitting before I blow something up on the trail. Not hugely experienced with offroading these Western US trails so want to make my underbelly as idiot-proof as possible while I learn tough lessons.
I'd rather spend $250 now on a "maybe I'll need it" skid than $2500...
My Mojave now has a Artec full belly skid and front LCA skids, and now the 'cut to fit' factory front skid back on.
What is the next few priorities for protection underneath and in what order?
Thinking rear LCAs, differential, axles? I'm fine losing an inch of clearance, I just want to be...
If they're not even rolling off the line with the fix, yet, it will be 6 months (or more) before parts are available for dealership recall work...
Let us know if anyone actually receives a reimbursement check from Jeep for aftermarket install. *Sigh*
I will never private-sale a $30k+ value vehicle anymore, living in Washington. First is the additional sales tax you pay by not applying trade in value when you purchase the replacement. Sales tax is near 10% here. You would need to recoup $3-4k in additional sale price over trade in, and...
I haven't decided those parameters, yet. But it will include a tastefully-outfitted Jeep, probably Gladiator, parked adjacent to me. That's all I got so far. This is all new to me. A whole world of ducking has opened and I'm forced to reserve a space for it in my brain, now.
100 duck "starter packs"?? I have a job man, I can't just keep running around throwing ducks at cars...
I need ...maybe 3. If I 'duck' a Jeep more than 3 times in my life, something went wrong somewhere. Bottom line, you need to earn your duck from me.
Problem resolved. Oddly, there was a weird vibration on the shift lever in 3rd gear that also went away when the computer (?) re-learned 6th gear RPMs. ...and 6th gear is useable again.
Yeah, I just read that it will also fix the issue with the gear not showing on the dash as well. Feel relieved, I'll try it after work.
Side note-- it's just really odd that this even matters with an MT. Why would the computer care what my gear ratio is...
So got my manual trans Mojave back with the new 4.63 gears...
Good news: Gears work great, no noise, exactly the added torque I was looking for without making 1st too low.
Bad news: 2 issues cropped up. First, the auto start/stop light is on. This is a known issue that will require I...
