  1. Weird Service Department Visit about Suspension Noise on Bumps when Cold

Well, as I figured - the lube didn't fix it. This morning the crunch happened at the usual spots. It wasn't too loud or long because it's not very cold, but it was there none the less. Now I've got to decide whether I'm going to go back to them and go through all of that or just live with it...
  2. Weird Service Department Visit about Suspension Noise on Bumps when Cold

Yeah I know - the whole thing including the post title is weird. (Long post alert) I love the JT as I've said countless times here on the forum, but I've been having this noise when I go over certain types of bumps, and it's only when it's cold outside. Never happens in the summer. It has...
  3. My personal opinion, its not sexy!

Get some Wild Peaks that are stock diameter and whatever wheels you like with decent backspacing. No lift needed, any effect on towing ability is negligible, the look is changed dramatically for the better, and you get way better traction in all conditions.
  4. Frame damage directly off the delivery truck

I would have never thought to look for something like that. I drive a vehicle off the lot in good faith that it's in new condition inside and out. I'll notice a dent or if the side mirror is hanging by its wires (that happened once), but if it's underneath or under the hood then I might as...
  5. How reliable has your gladiator been?

2020 Sport S with almost 30,000 miles. Fixed the steering TSB and air conditioning TSB with no problems afterward. There's a pesky little crunch sound on some bumps at low speed when it's cold outside that they're supposed to be looking at again next week, but other than that it's great...
  6. how long did you wait to receive your Gladiator?

That's good to know for next time whenever that may be. It's certainly a question I'll remember to ask when I'm shopping around next time. I like dealing with my local dealer if possible, but if I choose to order and there's no price lock then I'll keep looking. Gupton sounds like a great...
  7. Devils advocate of upping tire size.

I did buy new tires and wheels. But I kept the stock diameter and didn't lift at all. My reason for changing the tires was that the stock tires didn't have the aggressive tread or grip I wanted for snow (or even rain for that matter), so I replaced them with Falken Wildpeaks of roughly the...
  8. So...Extended Warranty?

I got the 7 year unlimited miles warranty from Tom. I don't remember the cost but it was way less than 2 grand at the time. My factory warranty runs out soon at two years due to miles, so I gained 5 full years with that deal.
  9. Violation Report: Rubi-wannabe spotted!

They copied those round vents too. Only Jeeps should have round vents.
  10. Drunk attacked my Jeep

I know it's already been said, but it's amazing to me the outcome wasn't much worse. It's so close to the front it looks like a breeze in the right direction could've almost moved him into the cab during the crash. No humans or pets harmed either - that's something to be very thankful for...
  11. New “improved” bed tonneau cover?

This doesn't answer your question about Mopar but mine is a roll up twill from Bestop and it's never leaked a drop as far as I can tell. I go through automatic carwashes too, and completely dry inside.
  12. What Insurance Rates and Loan APR % is everyone getting ?

Well I guess that part of it was on me. I always respectfully refuse to buy add-ons like warranty, tire and wheel insurance, etc., at the point of sale. I also tell them I'll take it seriously and call them back at a later date if I feel like it's something I need. It's okay - no harm...

  14. Holy hood scoops Batman

    Okay that's cool - I didn't realize that.
  15. O

    Amen brother!
  16. O

I just downed a couple of Ice cold PBR's after a work day. That's what I like and it was glorious. You do you. Thank goodness there are plenty of beers for all of us.
  17. O

I'm 57, and you may have a good point about age. I think that I've reverted back to my college days when we were drinking domestic beers every day, and the idea of microbreweries was in its infanthood. There were no sours except when one of the domestics had gone past its shelf life or maybe...
  18. Sooo...RCR did a review of the Gladiator.

I didn't watch it. Now I KNOW I'm not going to.
  19. Little Delighted (scratch that: not Dissapointed) in Quadratec

Makes sense. From my many years experience in sales and keeping client relationships, I can say without a doubt that it's best to inform customers of potential pitfalls ahead of time. I don't think most online retailers are trying to mislead anybody - Their supplier partners are likely...
  20. Why did you go diesel?

I might have chosen a diesel or maybe not, but it wasn't an option at the time so I've got a gasser. I never wish I had something different, that's for sure. That said, I do like the fact that they now offer diesel as an option. I think that some people who wouldn't have otherwise bought a...
