It's in Marion. Right next to I-40. They're a smaller dealership, definitely Jeep lovers. When I go for service, Tony, the guy who sold me mine usually comes out and chats about Jeep stuff, camping, and whatever else comes to mind. They don't have massage chairs and fancy coffee bars, but...
Seriously wow. I read all these stories about dealers not wanting to help people. Today I went to my dealer's service manager about two issues and he immediately scheduled me for the first one for this Monday, and the other one for when the parts come in.
Guess which issues they are...
Simply put, I'm happy with mine. I see others I like, sure, but not more than the one I have. I love the color and it suits me perfectly in every way.
I'll never say never though. If one comes around that I like better (enough better that I'd rather have it than the money it would cost)...
Okay so after the kayak paddle down the river and we took them out of the water the cool old truck was gone, but I ended up getting my very first duck! I got one of the ducks from it’s dash! Wow what a great day.
I’ve noticed the Jeep size increase you’re talking about. I actually like it, and it helped me to take the plunge back into the Jeep world. That said, I love the old smaller Jeeps too. They’re a whole different animal than what the new Jeeps are. They’re more spartan and harsh - and I mean...
I got a chance to park next to a cool vintage Jeep truck today at the river where we take out our kayaks. Check out all the ducks on the dash! You can’t even see all of them in this picture. There must have been eight or more. I wish I had one with me that I could have left. Gotta get me...
Mine has started doing the hot blast when we're on trips, especially when it's very hot outside. It's relatively frequent, too. Also, it's not cooling the cabin properly in auto mode. I can set it on 65 and it's still hot enough to make us sweat, that is until we take it off auto and crank it...
Huge tires and lifts are not my cup of tea. I did replace the tires but with the stock diameter. I actually like the silver stock wheels, so why change them? I do fully understand why so many want to do it, but I like mine the way it is. Here are the reasons:
It performs exactly the way I...
Good question that I was also wondering. From the looks of it in the pics, this one seems to have side panels and back that fit in similar to the top on our TJ. Side panels are attached by Velcro and zippers, while with the Softopper the sides and back roll up. It also appears from the...
???
Are you thinking about someone else? I never said I didn’t like the factory soft top. I have a TJ with a soft top and I like it fine.
All I said was that I love the Sunrider with my hard top.
I don’t have a soft top, at least not for the JT, but I agree 100% about the Sunrider. It’s a game-changer. Open or closed at a traffic light (or even while driving 20 mph) in 5 seconds. Looks good (in a Jeepy kind of way) whether open or closed.
Yeah do what you want to make it the way you want it. One thing I’ve figured out about Jeeps is that there are no rules we have to follow but our own. Some here would disagree with that statement, but just look at all the Jeeps around in real life - they couldn’t care less about what we think...
That looks pretty good actually. I was hoping to find more of an LED version of the simple halogen look - without the halo and divided areas, but I guess that's not reasonable to expect.
I'll probably get around to doing the LED thing, or maybe not. I do believe that it's better to go with the whole housing rather than just replacing the bulb. I would be much more tempted if there were an aftermarket housing option that's more like the stock ones in appearance. I don't much...
Sometimes people are focused on their next turn, the car next to them, singing whatever song is streaming, or whatever, and they just don’t notice me waiving. I do the same thing, so it really means nothing if it appears that I’m ignored.
I’ve also got a 2001 TJ (an old beater beast with...
