For both of you, if you have not gone down the spring route yet, I had Clayton’s and switched to Rock Krawler and do not regret it one bit. The RK springs ride quieter (less noise from coils hitting) and I feel they are a bit smoother. And, don’t forget, you can set bed load on the shocks as...
I was going to go with the same Bilsteins but for the same reasons decided to go with the SDi shocks instead. I like it because it does the same adjustments but from the comfort of the cab on the fly!
So I really like them, used them off-road 2x now and I thought it handled great at slow speeds. I’d buy them again based on how I’ve used them. I do adjust them all the time too based on what I’m doing and I will play with settings to see what works best. Last time out was a lot of slow speed...
So I went with the Active version and not the pro version that lets you customize a lot more, but I have had weight in the rear and used the “load” feature which lets you adjust the shocks in 25% increments based on how much is in the bed, on the rear in an overlanding setup, or on the hitch and...
i actually really like them and I find myself adjusting them just based on where I’m driving and how the roads are (Ohio roads suck). When I was off road with them the one time so far, I had them in trail mode and set to full soft (wasnt really rock crawling) and they were pretty amazing...
Longer video but pretty good testing of the SDi E-Clik shocks on a JLU, on road, on high speed trails, and a little crawling, by a bunch of Raptor guys….and an SDi staffer.
Yeah, I saw that thread and they said that it was the launch edition and was perfectly level from the factory. I wasn’t sure as Im not all that familiar with the LE Rubicon and what it’s differences might be.
I think the fender on the front should measure higher than the rear on the Rubi if...
This one should be easy, if someone has a new Gladiator Rubicon that has only been leveled, regardless of tire size, I just need the difference in fender height between the front and rear.
I’ve searched and there are about 1000 threads or more with fender height mentioned. Can someone tell me how much higher the front fender should be on a Rubicon vs the back fender if its leveled? Just measuring to the bottom of the fender, what is the difference in height? I’d greatly...
That is odd, they answered the phone every time I called them. If the person who answered could not answer my questions, they kept me on the phone until they could get someone. They were very responsive.
So I went out for some mild wheeling yesterday, nothing too crazy, few rocks, some terrain that tested the flex and some slower speed whoops, and the shocks were outstanding. The whoop section that we went down would have or should have tossed us around a little but it handled it like a champ...
Yeah, I got an email from them that you can now do an add-on adjustable rezzie, very cool tech!
As for how I like them, so far it’s still really limited to DD driving on the street but they are pretty nice on the road. I’ve played around setting them softer and stiffer just to see how they...
Sorry guys, got a bit busy and never made it back in here. So far I really like the shocks, the install was pretty straight forward once I got all the right parts. It’s all very high quality and the touch screen shift knob is pretty sweet. As for the ride, I have not had the opportunity to...
I am really liking my Rock Krawler Adventure series 3" lift (with the 4 link rear). It sits very similar to how my Clayton 2.5" sat but the RK front is a triple rate vs the Clayton single rate and the rear is quadruple rate vs the Clayton triple rate rear. I have a 1/2 in spacer in the front...
Probably around 3” of backspacing. I think the Mopar Beads are around 4.5 but I have a 1.5” spacer in there also. These are only considered an 8” wheel with the non-beadlock ring and 8.5” wheels with the true beadlock ring in use.
Yooooo! Yeah, that was the first question I asked SDi was if I went with the Active setup could I upgrade to the Pro later on and the answer was “yes”. I can’t imagine me playing with all the pro features but possibly adjusting front or rear softness to my liking, and having rear load...
