Update: Took it back to the shop so they could take more photos for Mopar and report to them. I've included the photos here:
It appears there may be enough of a machining error (arrow) on the housing to cause a leak- what are your thoughts? The service adviser and tech I am working with have...
This is interesting- they've asked me to come back in and take more photos and add to my 'Mopar report'. If a TSB is due in June, seems like I'll (we'll) be waiting a while for a repair.
Update: Took it back to the folks who made the first replacement- this time they weren't interested in re-ordering the same parts and trying again. I told them I suspected the housing may be damaged during manufacturing or during the first repair.
They had me pull it in the shop, they plugged...
I cant say I know if this is a new design, the ticket says '68474094AA SHAFT-AXLE REAR'. I'll ask when I return Monday after work. I would like to avoid doing anything myself while it is still early in my warranty- and compel them to fix something they should be.
Update: parts arrived on Tuesday, replaced the right rear assembly on Wednesday, leaking on Saturday (today). Is the conventional wisdom to take it back to the dealer and say "wanna give it another shot" or is there something I can do about this on my own? Also, it appears that it is leaking...
Renee let me drive a GW when I picked up my Gladiator- had a 392, it was very nice. I don't have any use for it at this stage in my life, but damn its nice.
Thanks, I never get the impression I'm dealing with real sophisticated folks in the service departments- but I also don't understand the process they need to go through to make a warranty repair.
This is my second gladiator and second axle seal leak- I'm just annoyed that it is still an issue.
Have any advice for disassembling the plastic bumper to get the OEM bezel in? I've got mine apart and its the worst- I'm on the brink of having the entire rear bumper assembly in a million pieces.
No sooner did you post this, I found the missing harness underneath my passenger seat, must have dropped it. apologies for the misdirection.
Thank you-
Hey Gang,
I've got a 2022 JT, and a Mopar TBC, and the plug under my dash does not match the controller module to be mounted under the dash :/
Is there a harness that can adapt this? Potentially the Redarc TPH-022?
