They just need to engineer the price lower. I think the Nighthawk package is good, lots of things people want low 40s, bang. My dealer bought a lot of them, so I'm guessing they sell. There are a lot more Gladiators in my town this year, I see them coming around every block and I get a lot of...
As an old guy I find it's getting more difficult to get ducked. I still occasionally desire a good duck but a duck is getting harder to find. If any Canadian women would like to duck me, give a holla.
I think the Gladiator looks right with a little lift and maybe bigger tires, given its length. Mine looks a little squat, but I'm not changing it. I'm so happy to have the old-timey ergonomics with a pickup truck. My Ranger was too high. My brother has an F-150 with this goofy little ladder...
Of course, the Sports with manual were only popping up in December because they'd been waiting months for the clutch recall solution to be finalized and parts made. I'd all but given up and was going to keep my Ranger when a base Sport showed up at a dealer about 200 miles away. That one was...
I got a similar deal, but on a Sport base model, soft top. I paid 34 and change. But it has crank windows and manual locks. I do miss the power locks but other than that I'm fine. At first I was stalling quite a bit trying to manage the friction point but I did get used to the clutch and now...
You'll get used to the clutch, it's weird at first. Power on the engine is at higher revs. It's there. Mileage sux and if you want it to get better you're driving really slow. Auto stop with the manual is finicky. Warm it up, wheels straight, clutch out in neutral, it should stall. At least you...
I've been surprised by how watertight it is, too. Haven't had a hardtop, but this soft top is wild. We have heavy wind-driven rain all the time, hit from all sides. I've been at freeway speeds in heavy rain, assaulted by car wash jets. It's really quite impressive. My theory is that because it...
It is a different thing on a manual. I had that feature on my Ranger and I always had to disengage it it was always shutting off at every stop sign. As the post above says, with the manual you have to have it configured to work.
Even turning the wheel a bit keeps it from engaging.
Mine...
I couldn't care less what some fake blonde thinks about Jeeps, but this was my first experience falling into the TikTok funnel. Good grief! No wonder the birth rate is collapsing and suicides are on the rise.
"This is a real problem and folks should take it seriously."
I agree, but survey after survey -- as well as real world observation -- shows that fewer than 10% of the population cares. It's sad and frustrating, to be sure. I keep hoping a new generation will rebel, but alas the more...
What would you be paying to insure a Civic or Corolla? I went from a Ranger to the Gladiator and it was like an extra $7/six months. What I found appalling in my research was that buying something I didn't want really didn't save me that much. The prices on vehicles is up on everything. I looked...
A couple of points:
The premise of this thread is that low sales are leading to layoffs. Vehicles aren't selling because Stellaaaantis and Ford and GM raised prices faster than inflation (and wages). Look at their filings from the last few years, and have a listen to their earnings calls. They...
