For me it’s simple.....I’m a Jeeper. Have been for more than 20 years. I was a hot rod/muscle car guy before that (1973 340 Duster with 425 horses was my daily).
I like to build/modify/tinker with my vehicles. Thats one thing that drew me to Jeeps. The ability to go anywhere was another. Also...
I recall with my old JKU, there was a setting in jscan to change the voltage going to the lights. Idk for sure, but that may be what the LED setting does now in the app.
For comparison, my JT has the tow package which includes a 240 amp alternator, and that may be why I’ve never had any flicker...
There is a setting in jscan to change the headlights to LED. Several have reported success with that. At least that was the case with the JL, I’m still learning about the JT, but I’d imagine it’s the same.
I’ll compare this to the old adage with cell phones......if you wait for the next latest and greatest thing, you’ll never buy anything.
There are always going to be changes, updates, things you wish you waited for. Something new and different is always around the corner.
Get it and build it...
If you have the issue, you will know.
Drive down any stretch of road at 55 or more then look over and change the radio station. If you have the issue, you’ll be part to half way into the other lane by the time you look straight again.
I’ve owned hood latches and tube doors by RR. Decent quality and held up well. Doors still looked like new when I sold them after trading in the JKU.
Since you have 17 inch rims, you may want to look at Kenda Klever R/T’s. They come in 33x10.5 and 35x10.5.
There’s a thread with pics of the 35s in this thread:

If they had 18s, I’d run them on my 80A.
This is the route I was going to use in my JKU before I traded it for my JT.
Doesn’t seem they make one for the JT yet, but it would be the simplest and least intrusive method of cleaning up the wiring. Run under the pad and into the center console port.
Christmas being mainly for my 2 kids, I didn’t get to spend a lot on my new Gladiator.
I did manage to get the Teraflex 1.5 leveling kit for $80 and the Gator SFX cover for $180, so Dad will have a couple gifts from Santa under the tree!
