727 and 904? You MUST be an old Mopar guy like I am. Really miss my 340 Duster (the reason behind my username).
I agree with you fully, the springs even look correct, I just find it odd how the part listing doesn’t match.
At any rate, I’m really thinking I may go ahead and buy those Rubi take...
Absolutely no doubt. That was part of what made me curious as to my spring numbers.
The set I’m looking at are 339/340 and 449/450.
But I seriously can not for the life of me figure why my rear spring is carrying a front spring part number.
PS welcome back, good to see you sharing knowledge again.
So, I’ve got an 80A that I purchased new with 12 miles on it. I’ve been thinking about getting Rubi take offs to give it a little boost, mainly to help with the rake. Anyways, I climbed under today to see which springs I have, and I’m utterly confused! The drivers rear spring is part number...
Agreed. While some say the factory Rubi springs are taller, some say they’re just stiffer, everyone agrees the Rubi sets higher because the springs. Not that “it’s just higher” as this particular Skyjacker service person seems to say.
It really confuses me that the parts lists show the same...
My 80A must be an oddball. I’ve got the Teraflex leveling kit, but haven’t installed yet. When I measure the difference from level ground to front and rear pinch welds, I have a rake of 2.5 inches! Doesn’t seem the Teraflex kit would level it fully.
So you have the 315s on there with no lift or spacer? Looking at my 80A I don’t think they’d fit. I’ve got a ton of front rake.
Measured ground to pinch weld both front and rear, and I’ve got a difference of 2.5 inches
Park on level ground, then measure the distance from the ground to the pinch weld just behind the front tire.
Then measure the distance from the ground to the pinch weld just in front of the rear tire.
The difference in height is how much you need to level it. It should be close to 1.5” on the...
If you can find a TSB with that new part number, then you’d have a chance.
I suffered through the gearbox fiasco with the wife’s JLU. There is a thread in the JL forum about pulling the fuse for the electric steering pump assist. Something to the effect of pulling the fuse, starting it, shutting...

Same wheels we have on the 80A
Absolutely. It should be much better now. Even with the measurements, sometimes you need to compare the speed shown to a gps or gps app and adjust again. However, changing to the measurement you got should get you really close. Let me know how it goes!
