I had my ghost antenna cowl mounted on the driver’s side of my wrangler using a cooltech mount and plan to do the same on my JTDR. Are then any issues running through the firewall grommet?
My '19 Wrangler right bank had one cam completely rounded, and the rocker was flat by the time I was able to get them to acknowledge the issue. I'm surprised it wasn't misfiring. It sounded like a diesel; the tick was that bad.
So, I'm now picking up a JTDR this week. At least it's supposed to...
Yeah, this sounds like a CANBUS error. The STAR hub/connector behind the glove box is notoriously bad, but inexpensive to fix/test/replace. Replacements on eBay are about $10.
I'd bring it to the dealer if you're under warranty. Diagnosing shorts and such can be a royal PITA.
Starting this up to track the build progress on my 2021 Sting-Grey Rubicon.
It's a fully loaded Rubi that isn't missing a single check box that I can see—only 13k KM on the odometer.

This sounds like a CANBUS issue, if you've visually verified the pins are not bent. If it's one specific door, I'd double-check the wiring loom for the door itself. If you have a multimeter, check for connectivity on each wire in the loom. It might be an intermittent short.
Otherwise, check...
I’m really hoping they bring out a 4xe Gladiator, but I suspect they won’t. They must be scrambling trying to make it work. Heat and heat dissipation are the sticking points. They had to do a lot of tricky engineering to get the current model to behave. It’s why we don’t have a 2.0 Gladiator...
I hope so, but then FCA has been talking up the BHEV powertrain on the wrangler for a few years, and now it's suspiciously quiet when the 2020 model year is approaching. BHEV haves some really compelling feature sets for the JL/JT.
Not sure what the hate on with the EPA is; are any of you old enough to remember the days prior to mandated exhaust output and fuel economy limits? If not, take a tour of China to see what air pollution looks like.
I suspect the delays are based partly on the fact FCA was also caught cheating...
It's likely a CYA. All the electrics are sealed, etc. But they also hang under a vehicle that's likely to get banged up, and maybe a seal here or there damaged. 30" still isn't anything to sneeze at, IMHO.
I’m running a lifted, modded 2016 Cherokee TrailHawk. It’s fun taking it out on the trails and showing the Wranglers up/that the “car” is able to run technical trails well.
I’ve got a handful of years left on this, but seriously considering the JT as my next vehicle. Especially if they option...
