  1. What's the deepest water you've ever tried to wade in?

Yeah, I've had over the hood, but with water not going much over an inch or two in the cabin.
  2. What's the deepest water you've ever tried to wade in?

From experience, there's no way that JT/JL was still running. Water reached the tops of my seats inside the cabin and shorted out the BCM, shutting my JL down. That much water will also be a write-off; all the airbags are compromised. I went into a water hazard I've crossed five times, and...
  3. JTRD - Toothgnasher Build

Yeah, Hulk played and lost the JL/JT paint lotto. It had been in the shop, having all the doors and hinges painted twice, and I'd been waiting since November to have Jeep warrantee the work a third time. Meanwhile, the window frame was bubbling, the window hinges were rusting badly, and the...
  4. V8’s On The Horizon……..(?)

Huh! That's interesting, but that's still only the block. You do need to account for cooling and power management (those intercoolers, turbos and pulleys).
  5. V8’s On The Horizon……..(?)

No, it's too long. The original design specs had it fitting in at the same length as the 3.6L, but things apparently changed; it's longer than the Pentastar. I'm pretty sure the next platform will be getting the "standard" i6 hurricane, though. So, there will be no V8, but the i6 will be better...
  6. JTRD - Toothgnasher Build

Today I installed Redline hood struts. An easy 15 minutes of work, although the bra lets get rather warm sitting in full sun.
  7. V8’s On The Horizon……..(?)

The Pentastar engines are pretty reliable, except for the small percentage that chew up the cams, and the ones where the grease monkey torqued the oil filter on at 80 ft-lbs. Millions of mills are on the road, through all the generations, and at best, I suspect we are talking low thousands with...
  8. JTRD - Toothgnasher Build

The first official modification/addition was installing the JC handles. They were packed in the rear under-seat storage, still wrapped in plastic. I also put the first decal on.
  9. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed the front JC handles, which had been stored in the under-seat compartment, still wrapped in plastic, unused.
  10. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

That off camber would pucker my butt and leave a crease in my leather seat. I don't know the run, but I guess he should have taken a line more to the passenger and straddled the centre?
  11. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

All joking aside, the Broncos are capable. The Wrangler has its strengths and weaknesses. Choosing your line is always the biggest challenge.
  12. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

    First “modification”, errr decal.
  13. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

First trail run - Boundary road, tested that the lockers and swaybar disconnect worked.
  14. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I bought it! Traded in my 2019 Mojito! Green “INCRHULK” for a 2021 JTRD with only 13k km on it. It’s so new almost everything was still in original packaging. Including the soft top. Tomorrow I have to get the soft top box out of the bed, install my Tazer, and various bits that I pulled off...
  15. JTRD - Toothgnasher Build

Here's the first pictures with the behicle after all the paperwork was done.
  16. Roaming Gladiator - Build Thread

Very nice build! This is sort of what I'm looking at long-term on mine as well. I'm picking it up tomorrow!
  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I did this with my JLU, I'll be doing it with the JTRD as well. Handy for quick hose outs, and is a better sound insulator than the stock carpet.
  18. Where do you store your recovery gear?

Ah, now that I've looked at the original picture, I see there's a MOLLE panel behind them. I assume the panel is connected to the trail rail? Which leads to the next question: Where did you get the panel?
  19. Whatever happened to the Mopar 318 engine?

Eh, if we were going back to old engines, I'd vote for the I6 flathead I had in my '49 Fargo 1/2 ton. It was bulletproof. As long as you didn't mind a top speed of 60MPH downhill, and 82HP, the thing got me everywhere.
