From experience, there's no way that JT/JL was still running. Water reached the tops of my seats inside the cabin and shorted out the BCM, shutting my JL down. That much water will also be a write-off; all the airbags are compromised.
I went into a water hazard I've crossed five times, and...
Yeah, Hulk played and lost the JL/JT paint lotto. It had been in the shop, having all the doors and hinges painted twice, and I'd been waiting since November to have Jeep warrantee the work a third time. Meanwhile, the window frame was bubbling, the window hinges were rusting badly, and the...
Huh! That's interesting, but that's still only the block. You do need to account for cooling and power management (those intercoolers, turbos and pulleys).
No, it's too long. The original design specs had it fitting in at the same length as the 3.6L, but things apparently changed; it's longer than the Pentastar. I'm pretty sure the next platform will be getting the "standard" i6 hurricane, though.
So, there will be no V8, but the i6 will be better...
The Pentastar engines are pretty reliable, except for the small percentage that chew up the cams, and the ones where the grease monkey torqued the oil filter on at 80 ft-lbs. Millions of mills are on the road, through all the generations, and at best, I suspect we are talking low thousands with...
The first official modification/addition was installing the JC handles. They were packed in the rear under-seat storage, still wrapped in plastic. I also put the first decal on.
That off camber would pucker my butt and leave a crease in my leather seat. I don't know the run, but I guess he should have taken a line more to the passenger and straddled the centre?
I bought it! Traded in my 2019 Mojito! Green “INCRHULK” for a 2021 JTRD with only 13k km on it. It’s so new almost everything was still in original packaging. Including the soft top.
Tomorrow I have to get the soft top box out of the bed, install my Tazer, and various bits that I pulled off...
Ah, now that I've looked at the original picture, I see there's a MOLLE panel behind them. I assume the panel is connected to the trail rail? Which leads to the next question: Where did you get the panel?
Eh, if we were going back to old engines, I'd vote for the I6 flathead I had in my '49 Fargo 1/2 ton. It was bulletproof. As long as you didn't mind a top speed of 60MPH downhill, and 82HP, the thing got me everywhere.
