Thanks! Waiting on a couple of things before I pull the lever on getting the medium mount, I think. Onboard air will be the first ‘major’ update to the rig. I know I’m going to miss not having onboard air after years of it on the JL. As a ‘use frequently’ update it’s easy and relatively inexpensive.

Semi-hijacking this thread - do the bed mounts fit the new brushless compressors (twin specifically)?

I’m going with one of the two bed mounts, I think and have been wondering how people run wiring back to the bed. I’m thinking 4 or 2 gauge so I can run backup/aux lighting eventually as well. I'm assuming running it through the frame, but how do you get it up into the bed?

Returned from the first long distance (600+km) trip. Round trip is ~1300km. Averaged 8.7l/100km. I know that won’t last once it’s on 35s (and eventually 37s) and lifted but if I only lose a couple of liters per, I’ll be estatic. The JLU was getting 14-15l/100.

Yeah, hindsight I really wished they had replaced the bus/harness that passes through the firewall. I’m pretty sure other wiring in the bus has small nicks that would short occasionally. Jeep even made that an easy replacement. There’s a connector on each side of the firewall…

I don’t see any damage to the terminals, were these installed and then removed? It does look (maybe) like the right hand terminal has some marks from being bolted down.
