  1. Gasser real world fuel economy

I'm at 4,000 feet. Be interesting to see how it does at sea level.
  2. Gasser real world fuel economy

You probably got it. Driving habits, environment, wind, hilly or flat terrain, speed, etc. all play into it. I generally keep the Fuel Economy screen on my dash and try to keep it as high as I can. I know this thing is not an economy car but it does pretty good for what it is.
  3. Nevada Sold: Rubicon Suspension

I have decided not to use this suspension after all and ordered a Mopar kit. Complete suspension as shown. The seller I bought this from said the suspension had 6,500 miles. One of the rear shocks is a little stiffer than it's twin so priced accordingly. Located in Fallon. Local pickup but I...
  4. Nevada Sold: Daystar 3/4" rear spacers

I'm not going to use these after all. New, never installed. $40 shipped. Now $35 shipped.
  5. Gasser real world fuel economy

Sport Max Tow. Only had it a couple of months and you can see my average below. That includes a couple of tanks while hauling my small 3,000 pound travel trailer and some off road use. I just bolted on some Rubicon take-off Falken ATs so I imagine the average will drop a little. There is...
  6. Broken Teraflex leveling spacers?

Has anyone else seen this? This is the 1/2" spacer from a 1.5" spacer kit. It was like this when I opened the box. Oh, and the box was not damaged. Makes me wonder how they would hold up with actual use. I'll be returning it. Made me decide to just go ahead and order the Mopar 2" lift kit.
  7. Does any buddy run 265’s on their stock sport wheels?

Diameter wise the 265/70 will be virtually the same as a 245/75 but about .75" wider. They should work fine if that's what you want to do. If you want to stay close to the same size I would suggest a 255/75 tire. A touch taller and wider but not so much you should have to mess around with the...
  8. Leaking axle seal?

Nice to know the front axle does not have the vent restriction. I found those vents on line and will probably get one for the rear axle. For now I stuck one of these fuel filters on the end of the rear axle vent hose. It was a decent friction fit in the hose and should not go anywhere and...
  9. Leaking axle seal?

    Here ya go. https://www.quadratec.com/p/mcgard/lug-nut-4-pack-wrangler-jl/hex-chrome-64069
  10. Leaking axle seal?

The factory lug nuts have a thin metal chrome cover formed over the actual nut. They will get dinged up with normal use and is normal. Yours look fine to me. As far as the leak keep after them.
  11. Nevada Sold: WTB, one Rubicon shock 68341415AF

I bought a Rubicon take-off suspension and it appears one of the shocks is bad. I'm in need of the listed shock. Thanks!
  12. Leaking axle seal?

The "2 day" thing is what is confusing me. Unless they are very busy and just can't get to it right away and are going to let your Jeep sit. Or the service writer doesn't know what he's talking about. If I read the paperwork right the mechanic that changed mine did it in less than an hour...
  13. Adding Overland Sidesteps to Sport

I put the side steps on my Sport. They bolt onto the existing holes. Very simple and just takes minutes. All hardware is included.
  14. Leaking axle seal?

I'm confused. Are they replacing the entire differential/axle housing assembly? I wonder why. On mine and most others here they just replaced the axle shaft which has a new seal and bearing on it. A 1-2 hour job at most.
  15. Leaking axle seal?

Another trend I'm noticing. Most of the leaks seem to be on the HD axles, Max Tow and Rubicon.
  16. Must have’s when looking for budget Gladiator.

Pretty much what I did and was lucky to find it on a dealer's lot. Mine is a Sport. I wanted max tow for the HD axles and 4.10 axle ratio. Other options mine has is the hard top, aux switch group, slush mats, automatic transmission, tinted sunscreen windows and SiriusXM. The lack of power...
  17. out the door pricing

I paid $39,900 OTD for mine which included all taxes, fees, etc. Suggested retail was $41,085. I was satisfied with the deal I got.
  18. Leaking axle seal?

Yep, My dealer kept my Gladiator a whole day to "diagnose" what was obvious with a quick glance. They set me up with a rental car so not going to complain too much. If I read the paperwork right it took the mechanic less than an hour to change the axle shaft. They kept it most of a day for...
  19. People have gone mad on the interstate!

Must agree. It's the major reason I stopped riding motorcycles a few years back. Every time I got back from a ride I felt like I had cheated death again. Got tired of it and in my old age I'm not near as adventurous as I used to be.
  20. Leaking axle seal?

Contact your dealer service department for warranty repair. They will likely end up replacing the whole axle shaft assembly. Something I did was remove the valve on the end of the vent hose and temporarily replace it with a 5/16 disposable fuel filter until I get another vent cap. I found the...
