I had no problems with the LSD in my JKU or my 21 JT Max Tow. Here was my formula.
Amsoil Sever Gear 75w-140 + 4oz of the Mopar LSD additive.
The Dana 44 in the JKU made it for over 100k miles with the original V6 and later a 5.3L LS V8 conversion. Still going when I sold it.
Lol, OK.
MSRP was $57,675. Minus dealer discount, national bonus cash, military veteran discount and one that Jeep emailed me, I paid $44,599. I thought that was pretty good. No dealer markups.
Ya know. I've always been a fan of white vehicles but have to admit the 41 is growing on me.
Going to go look at a 41 Mojave tomorrow. May come home with it.
I voted it is an okay engine.
I had a 21 JT Max Tow. I stuck a Mopar Performance suspension on it and ran 33" Rubicon take-off wheels & tires.
I always felt the engine was adequate but wished it had a little more power, especially when towing my little r-Pod TT. Add me to the list who...
If you didn't get it by today, the $7K discount is gone.
Interesting.
Over the last month I had been keeping track of 9 different Mohave and Rubicon Gladiators at a couple of local dealers. Even with the $7K Jeep discount, plus dealer discounts of $3K-4K, NONE of them sold.
The $7K Jeep...
I got a $1K bonus discount last night while on the Jeep website. I also qualify for the $500 .mil discount. That along with the $7K Jeep discount and dealer discounts make a new Mojave or Rubicon very tempting.
I've had the ZR2 for 1.5 years, 14,500 miles. No issues. A friend's son has one. Same thing.
To be fair, if someone looked at the Issues section here they would never buy a Gladiator. The cam issues alone would make you think the engines are ticking time bombs.
Anyway, I think I'm going to...
And to sweeten the pot, I was on the Jeep website last night and a popup offered a $1K coupon code. So I could get the Mohave for $46,100 or the Rubicon for $42,800. I suspect I may be taking a drive next week.
Can't argue that. Those prices aren't much more than I paid for a 21 Gladiator Sport Max Tow.
My struggle is if I want to trade in a 23 Colorado ZR2 which is also a darn nice truck. I'm still debating with myself. Wife thinks I'm an idiot.
To add some context, a dealer not far from here has a Mojave I've been eyeing with a sticker of $58,550. It's on their website for $47,600. Subtract a .mil discount and it's $47,100.
A Rubicon for $54,860 on the website for $44,300.
Those prices include the $7K Jeep discount along with...
Agreed. I love exploring the desert and have no desire to break my stuff in the rocks. Besides, if rock crawling was my thing, the ZR2 is probably more capable at it than a Gladiator.
I have to admit I'm struggling a little with the decision to give up the ZR2 for a Gladiator. The Mojave is...
