I haven't actually a done an oil change on one of the newer p* yet. If it's anywhere in the range after 5 qts, I'm calling it good.

Oil expands and contracts with temperature, that's why there's a range and not a must be filled to here line. If you fill it to the top cold, it will be overfull hot. Probably won't hurt anything though.

Right. It would be awesome if they could add another 5K lbs in tow capacity. Might be tight on the trails, LOL.

Thank you for your service. I was just saying the numbers aren't giving you the whole picture. I would definitely jump at a V8 option in the JT, but the p* is ok and the whole package is pretty good.

I don't know if you ever had one, but they were worse on the highway despite what the ratio says, and the power delivery of the 8speed makes up for any deficit. Don't get hung up on low end torque. It's useful, but it isn't worth the tradeoff.

What's stopping you? I had an '86 that I swapped a 6.0 LS in. Fun.
