the X will already come with 4.56's, so the jump to 5.13's is going to be pretty minimal. IMO its worth it if you have tons of $, but you won't see as drastic of a change as someone on 3.73's or 4.10s.
and as stated, the BFG AT's are some of the smallest and lightest tires available, so a 37...
I have 5.13's on the lightest/smallest 37" Tire and I love it. It puts the Jeep right where I like it. Theres <5% difference between the 4.88s and 5.13's, so don't think about it too much. But I get 18+ mixed city and HIghway and can easily pull my boat.
lock the glove box, console, and rear seat. Don't leave anything of value in the cab. That's really all you can do.
Doors off you're really only attracting the "Stash and Grab" folks. Anyone talking about key/fob spoofing, breaking into center consoles, ect... are going to get in your jeep...
In addition to the weight of the tires just with the GCWR, the tire weight is unsprung/rotational weight.
I've got a set of 37" BGF AT's on aluminum wheels, and a set of BFG MT's on Dirty Life Beadlocks. Same size wheels and tires, but there's like 22 lbs difference in weight per wheel/tire...
wiring harness is common, just replaced it on my 2020 wrangler.
ALlMoparPart is a vendor sponsor and had the harness to me in 2 days. About an hour/hour and a half to get it replaced. There's a bunch of YT Videos on adding passive entry to the jeep, just watch those and you'll get a good idea...
Cool video- Guy seems to be straight forward, but also seems to have a chip on his shoulder with the "Other V8 swap Guys". I get it, when your passionate about something you don't like seeing other folks cut corners and not address things, but it could also come off as just bashing competitors...
I do use the Gladiator bed a good bit, but I also have a small 5x8 trailer that I can use. A slight inconvenience, but the wrangler + Trailer will do anything I'd put in the Gladiator bed- and the Armada will tow anything the gladiator towed. Jut can't do them both at the same time.
I did, the...
Picking up a new family vehicle tomorrow, 3rd row Nissan Armada, had a surprise kid a few years ago and the back seat of the wrangler is getting cramped. Nissan is nice, will tow the boat, and is 3rd row/seats 7.
So the question comes down to- Which Jeep do I keep??? Short term plan will...
My kids like them, they like to duck other jeeps when we're out and about. I want my kids interested in Jeeping and offroading in general. On a nice Saturday we all get up and go riding if we have nothing else to do, and if a rubber duck or two on the dash is what gets them "into" it, then so be...
Going to have to get some height for sure. This is with my QuickJack 700's with the truck extensions and the higher pads. Gets it off the ground but not by much.
That's my concern, just like O2 Sensors in your exhaust in emissions states. Don't actually do anything, just disable your ability to renew your tags if the sensor "Thinks" something is wrong. 9 times out of 10 the sensor itself is what goes bad and not the system it's monitoring, but all the...
Thats the kit. All gladiators have the M210/M220 axles.
The wranglers have the M186/M220 axles in all trims but the Rubicon. The Rubicon Wranglers have the M210/M220 axles like the gladiators do. That's one of the reasons I opted to not get a Gladiator Rubicon.
The kit above will fit all...
Not affiliated with either, and probably won't order one, but I noticed northridge has the warn EVO10 on sale at $539, and synthetic line from HF runs $130. The Warn EVO10S is $950.
If I were in the market, I'd just buy the EVO10 and put the badlands synthetic line on it. Could have a EVO10...
Dana themselves have confirmed there is no substantial strength difference between 4.88s and 5.13s. choose your gear based on your conditions/driving habits and stop worrying about strength difference.
The only time I could see the 4.88's being preferential vs 5.13's is someone in the midwest...
