  1. Quadratech Shop lift

My dream is to have a big boy lift at my house one day, I worked in an offroad shop in college that had a few 2-post lifts and I sure do miss them. For now my 7000# quickjack is doing the job. At full lift it gets my gladiator (3.5" lift and 37's) barely off the ground with the truck/suv...
  2. Intersting Death Wobble GoPro footage

pitman arm to drag link looked good, so did the upper track bar mount. It looks like there was some difference between the tie rod and the axle, but that's a lot of leverage all the way back to the drive side tie rod, My guess it either tie rod ends or the axle side mount of the track bar.
  3. Not my rig, but DAMN those tires are big!!

meh, looks well built to me. no big stupid rims, Irok is a good tire and available in a radial, and clearly a 60/60 or 60/80 combo under it. Not built for serious wheeling, but as a show jeep and conversational piece I've seen way worse.
  4. X

I would agree, I use to travel about 30 minutes passing countless tire shops to get to a discount tire, then they built one 5 minutes from my House. Same top notch service at both locations. Walmart had one of their ridiculous deals on their BFG AT's a few month back and not only did discount...
  5. 2023 Sport with Max Tow and Dual Doors, $35k.

Solid deal, As stated the Max Tow will come 4:10 and widetrack axles just like your Rubi. It won't have the lockers inside. Probably $2500 to swap in just lockers, but most people (like myself) just opt for a front locker. It also gives you locker options: Manual (Ox Locker), Air (ARB), or...
  6. Spicer gears on backorder

I guess it depends on what you are going to be using it for and where you live. My jeep isn't an interstate machine, but I do 15 miles of interstate 3x a week. the rest of the time I'm driving around town, up in the GA Mountains, or pulling my boat. Even when I'm on the interstate I'm rarely...
  7. Spicer gears on backorder

I've got an auto. The difference in 5.13's and 5.38's is like 4.5%, probably too small to really notice, about 100 rpm at highway speeds I'd always recommend overgearing a Jeep, you're already driving a box on wheels, nothing you can do to get better highway MPG. Might as well gear deep and...
  8. Spicer gears on backorder

yea its normal, Spicer does orders in batches, so they set all their tooling up and do one axle/gear, and then they reset their tooling up and do another axle/gear. I did mine over the summer, I think it was a 2-3 month wait for everything. From what I remember the front 5.13's were almost...
  9. Core 4x4 LCA problem. Need bushing part number UPDATED

Are you able to pull the other arm off and measure the bushing? You should be able to easily source new bushings from Energy Suspension Universal Polyurethane Bushings (energysuspensionparts.com)
  10. OEDRO Running Boards

Same- Run them on my Wife's JLU and there's been no issues with them. I wouldn't go slamming them into rocks and what-not, they aren't sliders by any means but for simple steps they look good and work.
  11. Rear axle replaced, now humming under light throttle

I've got an identical sound coming from my Diff, but it only started after I regeared the axle. First regearing attempt and I over-torqued the Crush Sleeve and I knew I did. Had the "UFO Sound" between 35 and 55 MPH. I just replaced/rebuilt the pinion and carrier bearings Sunday afternoon and...
  12. Does Model Year Matter? Any to avoid yet?

Agreed, if you want to avoid "Covid" jeeps thats up to you, but newer jeeps will have a better change of being under warranty too. From what I've seen any issues that will pop up will do so in the first 36K anyways. Specific parts to the gladiator are rare, from the cab forward its 100% JL...
  13. Re-gearing and around it

It really depends on what you intent to do with the Jeep. As you can see you're already on a slippery slope. If your going 37's, you need to regear. If you are regearing, you should do lockers while you are in the diffs. After gears/lcokers, you might as well truss the axles while your at it...
  14. Washington Full set, Gladiator half doors with premium uppers, brand new, $3000

Smokin deal and my color too, which you weren't on the other side of the country.
  15. Gear install kits?

Summit and Jegs are both good and typically the same price. All the D/S part numbers for the JT can be found here: Spicer® Ring and Pinion Gearing for the Jeep® Gladiator JT | Spicer Parts
  16. Gear install kits?

This Depends on what you are replacing. Even with the proper bearing puller you aren't going to be able to pull the small side bearing off the carrier without damaging it. The other 3 bearings can be pulled, but you run a risk every time you pull them loosening up. So absolutely bare...
  17. Towing 7000# Yamaha FSH 255 Sport H

Hate to say it man, but you're going to be overloaded with all the accessories. Plus there's going to be extra weight with all your belongings in the boat and people with you that will push it over the top real fast. I'm all for "common sense" towing. Are you going to kill anyone if you at or...
  18. What is the best gear ratio for 37" tires (2020 Gladiator Overland)

I'm running 37's and 5.13's and it's great, but honestly if I were you my decision would be between 5.13's and 5.38's. Your driving a brick, a refrigerator on wheels. Nothing you do will help you with gas mileage above 75 mph, accept that now. When in doubt, I always recommend overgearing. The...
  19. Regear finally

I second this, 5.13's and BFG 37" (a small 37 to say the least) and I'm very comfortable at 75. I always recommend "overgearing" if given the option. At the end of the day, you are driving a brick on wheels. Understand that, nothing you do will make the jeep any more aerodynamic or MPG friendly...
  20. Should I stay or should I go?

I understand where you got the $63K number, but right now the only question is would you buy the Gladiator as it sits for $30K, which is sounds like you would. In that case I'd be buying it. I'm pretty confident you could sell it for more than $30K right now, even in this market if that's what...
