I guess it all depends on what you want to spend. I live in New England, so cold weather group was a must have. It seems goofy to me to have a truck and NOT go for the tow package. I have no intention of towing anything, but I always end up pulling a trailer with my vehicle every now and...
I was always told running 2WD when you could be using 4WD puts a lot of unnecessary strain on the rear end. Don't know if there is any truth to it though. I'm sure someone a lot more mechanically inclined than I can chime in on that.
I know, older thread, but I ran a Rough Country lift on my TJ for 11+ years and never had any complaints. The shocks aren't the greatest, but all the components held up well. Did plenty of rock crawling on them in AZ and CO.
Yeah, I looked at both and compared them to the build sheets and window stickers of others. Things I ordered showed up on others, but not mine. Jeep Chat said if it isn't on there, it isn't on the truck. That settled it for me. I would have been willing to settle for it if they weren't so...
Whelp, cancelled my order and went with Gupton. My wallet will thank me later, even if it means another long wait. Probably dodged a bullet. My local dealership refused to budge on anything under MSRP, even after learning that what I ordered wasn't what was on the way. I even added a few...
My suspicion is that they may have put it in wrong when they ordered it. I'm asking for either a discount or my deposit back. I'd rather just save money and get what I want from Gupton.
Dealer says it is hopefully just omissions on window sticker. I asked if they would fix anything that was missing from the build. Their response was that I would likely have to take it up with Jeep.
I have my print out of my order showing that I ordered the perforated leather seats, interior assist handles, black sill guards, steel front bumper, and mud terrain tires. The build sheet and window sticker show "leather-trimmed bucket seats" and all the other things are missing. Is this...
Solid axles are definitely not required for off-road. I still believe it is far superior for rock crawling though. King of Hammers is its own beast. If I want something that will go FAST off-road, I'm almost certainly opting for fully independent suspension. Even the guys on the Bronco forum say...
I dunno, I could be wrong. I wouldn't be wholly against having the OPTION to have IFS or solid axle. But until I see proof that solid axle swaps are no longer desired on IFS rock crawlers, I'll keep buying vehicles with solid axles. IFS has its uses, but I wouldn't want a rock crawler with...
I bought my 2003 TJ for $13,500 with 76000 miles 12 years ago. It's been upgraded quite a bit through the years, but selling it now with 166,000 miles on it for $8,500. It's a weird market right now AND Jeeps tend to hold their value ridiculously well. I definitely don't understand people...
I've always been a Jeep fan, but I was excited when I learned there would be a competitor from Ford. However, from what I know now, I just don't see it. I think it will be a bit like the FJ Cruiser. An attractive novelty that just can't compete off-road. They REALLY screwed up giving it IFS...
I hate the taste of Jalapeños, but ripen it up and smoke it into a chipotle and its one of my favorite flavors. Ghosts and Habaneros are delicious too. I haven't had the others you mentioned(to my knowledge), but they sound tasty.
When I was in technical training for the Air force years ago...
As one of the vets on here, I feel safe to say that while I think some things should have been done better, I think our former administration were right to set this up and our current one was right to see it to fruition. The rapid collapse of the in power gov't and military to the Taliban are...
I have 33x10.5 Toyo OCs on my TJ and really like them. Ran KM2s for years before that. I liked those too though, lol. I was thinking of trying some of the Interco skinny 35s on the Gladiator after I wear out the stock 33s.
I have zero doubts that the DCT can outperform the older manuals and automatics. It still isn't a manual. If I was racing for money, I would take one. For my own personal use and fun? Never.
