Yes. My OEM ring n pinion is 3.73..
By actual ratio I was referring to how many rotations my driveshaft would need to make in order to spin the tire one full rotation with the taller BFG's
I prefer a little umphfff on the bottom end vs low cruising RPMs or decent MPG.
Also after pulling a tape on my 33 BFGs.. they're 32" tall so I'm guessing my actual gear ratio is 3.50 / 3.60ish
To bring this thread to somewhat of a conclusion... Today I put the Tazer Mini in and programmed it for the correct tire size.
Only had time to put roughly 10 miles on it but it seems to be "fixed".
Speedo is dead on and it shifts into, then holds 8th gear with no problem... No more hunting...
Just bought a new to me 22 Gladiator Sport (3.73).
Went from the OEM tires to 33" BFGs and wondering if I should go to 4.30 or 4.56?
Even though it rides and drives OK, its a bit sluggish and shifts back n forth between 7th and 8th gear at regular highway speed (60mph).
Its a weekend...
