So last month we drove to Orlando. Took the ecoD Gladiator and drove 1100-ish highway miles each way. We actually ran into a speed restriction on the way home based on heat soak/temp. On the way home we were coming through Atlanta. Anyone that's ever driven through Atlanta in the daytime...
I've been using EDT for about six months now in both diesels. It does make a performance and mileage change. I hope it keeps the CP4 alive until they do the recall.......
We've got a '21 High Altitude Diesel that I swap tires/rims for winter and wheeling. We put the factory HA 20" wheels and Dueler H/T's on for the summer and a set of '18 JLU Rubicon 17" wheels with BFG KO2's for the winter and some light wheeling.
When we first got the Gladiator if memory...
Thatās pretty nifty but I like keeping my firearm on my person. I typically carry OWB strong side and usually donāt have ācomfortā problems while driving. Iāve occasionally used an OWB cross draw holster if Iām going to be driving all day. Much better access than āFBIā.
If I didnāt care...
Did the 2nd Krown treatment on the Jeep today. I did a followup post to my review in the cosmetic protection area. Took several pictures before and after. Also did the Silverado. Chevy had zero rust treatment other than factory. Jeep had ZERO rust. Chevy wasnāt so luckyā¦.. Hopefully the...
Ok, one year later. We got our second treatment done today on the Jeep and I took my company truck in as well. Itās a 2021 1500 Silverado diesel that had zero rust treatment other than factory. Both of them get washed once a week with underbody. The Chevy was purchased in December 2020 so...
After playing in the rocks this spring my wife and I just used a wire brush and some flat black rustoleum on the scraped up skid plates. It worked perfectly.
Krown was $120 last year.
We put the Gladiator up on a lift tonight to check for any lost paint after our rock quarry fun during the Jeep Adventure Academy earlier this year. Figured I wanted to clean it up and give those spots a bit of paint before the repeat Krown treatment.
The skids took...
Nothing really interesting to report. At 33k on the Chevy. Zero problems. The Jeep is at 19,600. Zero problems there either. Drove The Jeep to Orlando last month. 2500 miles round trip. Mileage was around 25 average but I was āpushing itāā¦ā¦. Iāve seen 29mpg if Iām on a 2 lane at 62mph...
I was going through the garage today, through some of my older car stereo stuff I still had and found a new in box set of MB Quart DKC108 3.5ā speakers. Iām going to pick up a set of wiring adapters and toss them in my dash.
Iāll probably call MB Quart and see if theyāre āJeepā specific 3.5ās...
We did the Freedom panels for a bit but then got a Bestop Sunrider last year. It went on in April and we flip it back all the time. Roll widows down, open the back window, and roll the windows down. We can still button it back up in zero time if it starts raining.
We did more than Iād classify as ālight off-roadingā at the Adventure Academy (that I highly recommend). Our HA handled it and begged for more. We were going over basketball sized rocks in the rock quarry (if not larger) and at one point down a 30 degree rock wall. A stock Gladiator is an...
