You live in TN. Go to Windrock one time and you will change your mind. You will love it and want to drive offroad all the time or your will sell the Jeep and buy a Prius.
We use it to put the iPad on when reading or watching a movie so I want to keep at least part of it. Also, I have a gun safe mounted there and I like having it up top when sleeping.
I guess this is one time where my height is something of an advantage, I am 5’-4” and my wife is 5’-6”, so we...
Has anyone split the trapdoor into left and right sections? I would like to do a 60/40 split. I figure I could add support blocks to hold the individual doors up and then add small strips of carpet to finish the cut ends. I already have some extra AluCab hinges to use for this.
I get 4.88s at the end of March (assuming they are in stock by then like they are supposed to be). I am looking forward to seeing the mysterious 7th and 8th gears people talk about.
I started with just the rear because I figured that was where my bouncing was coming from, and that is the only reason I replaced them. I will do the fronts in a month or two to see if it gets just a little better, but it is a big improvement in the rear.
I have them on the rear of my Mojave to help damp the bouncing I get at highway speeds. The shop that installed them adjusted the high speed setting but not the low and the shocks did not make much difference. This weekend I read the below article and then adjusted the low speed setting, there...
Sorry, I was referring to the ‘max load inflation pressure’ and ‘light load’. I just remembered it as high and low.
That would be the issue then, my max load is set to 40 and I am running 33. I figured the light and max load numbers both needed to be changed. still weird that my front and rear...
Since I upgraded to 35s and am running them at 33psi, I have tried to change the air pressure settings through the JSCAN so I do not get the low pressure warning. I have tried it multiple times but cannot get the rear tires to not give the warning. I have the low setting at 30psi and the high...
We store dirty clothes in the area between the camper and cab when traveling. We have put over 15k miles on the camper and have only had the clothes get wet once when it was really windy. Generally that area is fine.
Good move on removing the stars. They look silly.
Heck, I removed the ‘Gladiator’ text from the side and ’Jeep‘ emblems may come of soon. The only reason they are still there is because they have orange highlights.
The sliders look good.
I have charged two different Garmin watches in the back seat in the standard USB port, I am pretty sure neither the USB nor USB-C are data. The only data should be in the dash and console.
Interesting. I did not know that.
I had it repaired and all is good now (I hope). I changed the anti sway bar setting to the softest setting, we will see how it goes.
We have a 2018 JLR (my wife’s), my 2021 JTM, and my DD 2013 Altima. The altima gets driven to work most of the time.
I am heading to FL for the weekend and trying to decide which to drive, the Altima for the mileage or the JT for the enjoyment.
