On my truck, the gap at the tailgate is due to the placement of the canopy on the bed being too far forward. Unfortunately, it cannot be moved towards the tailgate because then it is too far to the back and there would be a gap at the front. I think the canopy is about 2” too short for a gladiator.
The side tread varies from one side to the other. I like the more aggressive look. The JL has the less aggressive side out. I had never noticed it until tonight.
Those are 35s on the truck now. The 37s do seem a LOT bigger.
This is one by my wife’s JLR with the same 35s.
Once they are mounted and installed, they will lose a little height, but I am not sure how much
I picked up my five tires tonight. Four have an 0422 date code and one has an mid 21 code. I will put the 21 on the spare. Now I need to decide if I wear out the current 35” Geolander XATs first or upgrade now. The 35s can be sold or I hold them until my wife wears out her 35s.
Ok. The shop that installed my 35s did it all, but there is a Discount Tire within walking distance of my office so I had considered them, then learned they do not align. I need an alignment now anyways.
I just orderred five. I am running their 35s now and have been wanting 37s.
Before I had the 35s installed, my wife told me that I should go with 37s. I did not listen. One of the few times in 22 years of marriage she has said ‘told you‘.
We have no complaints about ours. It feels so much better than the OEM clutch.
I would say engagement is in the 1st quarter off the floor.
I agree with others that it sounds like you have a bleed issue. We had a similar issue with the OEM clutch one time. We picked it up from the steelership...
I drive 20k miles a year, so I do not want to delete the FAD. Add a 4k mile road trip to Moab this fall, it does not make sense, and Moab is one reason I am adding the front locker.
But thank you for the input.
Ok, I am planning to use an Eaton e locker, not sure of the spline count but I will check it. I really wanted chromoly axles shafts, but they are a bit hard tofind something that fits.
So they finally admit they have a problem that they have known about for years, and yet they still do not have a remedy. I have already replaced the clutch in my wife’s JLR with a Centerforce. I do not expect to get reimbursed anything, but it would be nice.
@Temperance What axle shaft did you use when you added the locker on the front? RCV says their Max Tow shaft will work with the Mojave, but would love to get confirmation from someone who has done it.
