I exited the cab through the hole plug in the floor behind the drivers seat, it is in the photo that shows the coax being covered with the original weather proof tape.
Needed to run coax from under drivers seat to antenna mount in bed but didn't want to run it thru clutch hole (already used for ham rig) all the way to the bed of the truck.
So I was looking under the cab and saw a hole plug even with back door on drivers side. Pulled the back seat carpeting...
I'm sure you know this but its there to keep someone from parking it in their garage then getting out with it still running. I read one thread where they went out the next morning and the jeep was still running (carbon monoxide and all).
I guess these are so quiet now you might not hear it...
If one of the "hood closed" plunger switches are bad that will cause the start/stop to stop working.
I think the left one is the one that will turn it off.
Howdy all,
I have a scangauge2 and have it so that I can see the soot level and if a regen is happening (on/off indicator).
The other day my soot level was coming up on 70% so I connected my Alphaobd and decided to try and do the "manual regen" function on the Alphaobd.
This worked great, I...
I installed my 2m/440 radio in my glad.
Decided to use velcro to mount the display on top of the rear view mirror.
Radio is under the passenger seat on block of wood to get it off the floor. Mic is stored in center console.
I ran the power from the battery, thru the wire chase along the...
Howdy, I made me a trail rail and added tie down points to my Glad
using Unistrut.
I used the half height stuff ($34 for 10 feet) along with some tie down loops from Lowes.
I primed and painted it.
I think it turned out perfect for my use (holding diesel fuel cans
from bouncing around).
Hidden kill switch. The Dodge hot rods (Charger, Challenger) have this worked out and our Jeeps use the same circuitry. Check you tube on how.
My jeep won't start even with my key fob (which is what they clone)
I've read somewhere that its a good idea to only use two attachment points, on opposite corners. This allows the bed to more easily flex which is the way the bed acts without a box.
It probably isn't that critical either way.
Getting those plugs off is tough, I finally used super long needle nose pliers to get them started to unplug, then bought extension cables when putting it all together. Now I can hook up my Alphaobd module in less than a minute.
I like the look of these racks and I can see how they are super helpful to carry stuff when out camping.
But occasionally I need to bring a new recliner home, help to move a upright freezer or fridge, move kitchen chairs, ect. I want to keep the tall stuff carrying capacity.
Does someone make a...
