  1. Theft Prevention/Key Fob Hack PSA. . .

No offense to all the ideas on here, but if you really want to stop the "key fob cloner" style of theft, install a kill switch just like this guy did on the hot rod Dodge cars (same process for us jeep owners). Easy to do, makes me fill better when I leave my jeep at the airport for a week...
  2. 3.0 ecodiesel

I love my ecodiesel, but I had/have the same worries as you. I only have 4k miles on mine (picked it up in Dec). Remember, this is the Gen 3 motor which I read has something like 80% of parts are new/improved over the Gen 2 engines. I bought a scan Guage 2 to keep an eye on DPF soot level and...
  3. Floor Drain Plug?

My carpet plugs were 90% cut. I had to pull one end of the carpet plug/patch up and finish the cut. Then my rubber mats went down into the hole, thru the floor, and snapped in place.
  4. So i got pulled over and thrown the book. apparently i need wide vehicle lights?

So, if running 37s like that needs special lights, then a big % of jeeps on this site are required to have these lights? I've never heard of this rule/law. I'm in Tx so maybe its different, but can someone show me this reg/law. I've always thought 8 feet was the width limit. Here is the Tx...
  5. Oil Analysis First Oil change at 5K miles

Thanks for posting, I'm coming up on 4k miles so will be doing my first change soon too. I ordered the same oil as your using. Where did you get your filter?
  6. Jeep Graphics studio

Saw this in my email today. They actually sent it in Jan but I don't check it often. I've seen some pretty cool Jurassic Park themed jeeps over the years. https://www.jeepgraphicstudio.com/products/jurassic-park-appearance-package?variant=44084940407014
  7. Ear buffeting and relief vent noise/flutter after alucab and seat delete

Maybe try and just tape over the vents just to see what happens. Maybe it will fix the problem.
  8. Side Steps for the Wifey

Sure, here is a pic of the stock running boards on my Diesel Rubicon. I think these come stock on the Texas Trail edition, but not sure.
  9. Side Steps for the Wifey

I got a pair of stock running boards and put in place on my stock rock rails that came with the Rubicon, did this for the wife, and I don't do rock crawling. Only a few months old, looked new, and found them on Facebook marketplace for $100. Will probably sell my rock rails on Facebook when I...
  10. I Drilled 58 Holes In My Truck Body ?

Howdy, I didn't say double sided tape, they make adhesive that is strong, would never slide with the surface area these have against the body. One down side is the install would really have to be considered permanent once properly glued. I was only making a suggestion, an alternative to...
  11. I Drilled 58 Holes In My Truck Body ?

I may be ignorant on this stuff, but I wonder why one couldn't use some type of adhesive to apply these instead of bolting them on.
  12. Does anybody know what this plug is for?

    Thanks all, now I know.
  13. Does anybody know what this plug is for?

I was running some wire from the engine bay into the cab and saw this wire going to a plug that wasn't connected to anything. It is located behind the drivers side cowl. My glad is a diesel if that makes any difference.
  14. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Clever idea, I use my key to lock/unlock the center console a few times a week so wouldn't work for me.
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Howdy all, For my diesel, I put the extension cables on my security gateway wireing for the bypass cable today. Man, those connectors on the security gateway are hard to get to. I did this so I can do a manual DPF regen (with the AlphaOBD app) even if I'm out on a trail and find my soot level...
  16. short trips with ecodiesel

I also have a new 23 Rubi diesel, Only have 1500 miles on it so far. I put a scanguage 2 on it around the 800 mile mark so I can monitor the soot levels and if its in regen. What I've found (and read) is once the dpf gets to 80% full, it automatically starts a regen, you only know this is...
  17. PSA: just because you can, doesnt mean you should...

    I like it. Looks sharp.
  18. Jeep is holding my truck on the shipping lot for no reason

Did you order some uncommon option (beside the Mt) that it might be waiting on? My understanding is they go to the accessories lot next door for bed liners, special wheels, headliners, ect. Maybe some option you ordered is on back order in that lot. They still show built when in that status...
  19. Stolen 2023 Mojave

I did do this, and it has worked fine since installed. There are many circuits that would work, I pulled the starter relay every night for a few weeks until I got the kill switch installed. Some folks interrupt the "press brake to start" switch. Some folks interrupt the "push to start" signal...
  20. Stolen 2023 Mojave

I feel for you. This seems to be happening more and more. I will add my advice. KILL SWITCH, KILL SWITCH, KILL SWITCH. I don't know why everyone doesn't have one. Even if they clone your key fob, it won't start unless they find your very well hidden hidden kill switch.
